Pandapip1: I put the included batteries in the two devices I received. The test sound worked. I don't have carbon monoxide. If I die from carbon monoxide poisoning, I will personally update this review.
Serously though -- how exactly do you plan to rate the "accuracy" of a CO alarm, Amazon? A séance?

Kindle Customer: This was pretty straightforward to set up. It's quiet and at night, I can see the light blinking every now and then so I know that it's on. However, don't know if it works, because it has not alarmed yet, but I guess that's a good thing.

Charlier: These new units are the exact models I replaced, so installation was extremely easy.
I try to replace my detectors every 5-6 years to be sure they will function correctly should the need arise.
