Taste the difference with the KIBAGA Stainless Steel Charcoal Firebox Basket!Randy C.Randy C.: Wanted to burn wood pellets in my fireplace and couldn't find anything to hold them in place at any store, got this and place cardboard around sides and bottom and use liquid fire starter on the TOP to start the fire. To my surprise, once loaded with pellets it lasted 3 1/2 hours. No adding, no moving things around. An excellent way to burn CLEAN non Smoke wood pellets. Some heat warping occurs, will see how long to lasts and update after a few months. Works for me.

fauxpunker: Fits in OK Joe Highland like a glove, so it's nice to take advantage of almost all of the available space. I've only used it once so far and no warps or any issues. Assembly just took a couple of minutes. The only issue I've run into, and it might just be my own doing, is that it seemed like it might have had some airflow issues as I had trouble getting and maintaining temp above around 230 (I've sealed and modded the smoker and it's about as leak free as it's going to get). Again, though, that could very easily be the result of me overloading it so I'm not going to knock off for something that could just as well be my fault.

Jason Pyros: If it were not for this tool inside of the Oklahoma Joes' offset charcoal/wood/chips containment area I would have more than several burns on the bottom of my feet !
Before reading on multiple forums on helpful tips & tricks to the "Smoking" meat department, I can only say that
1. Wow I was missing out .
2. My feet are thankful for this box keeping the ashes easier to remove from the heating portion of my grill
3. The taste difference in being able to control how much wood is necessary for burning with the charcoal VS. the original Oklahoma Joe containment area that did include grates but made it hard for my weber ashes scraper to keep continuously dumping.
4. Makes cleaning the grill after a great BBQ as easy as it is to tell Alexa Echo 8 to play "PUMP UP THE JAM"
Truly I am appreciative of this KIBAGA box.
Thanks,
J.R.P.

JamJam: Arrived in great condition. Things of note:
Was great for holding fire and heat elements.
Temps reached around ~450 with no issues.
Doesn’t really fit in an Oklahoma Joe highland, see pics. I appreciate the airflow though.
I used this for grilling and enjoyed it being close to the fire. Still let a lot of coals through but that’s due to cut outs for airflow.
I liked being able to use some heat resistant gloves and move fire around for hot and warm zones on the grill.
Be careful assembling, this is sharp pressed metal. I was thinking to myself, I should be careful, ai might get cut, and immediately sliced my thumb knuckle twisting the bolt and screw together (I hand tightened).
I posted a variety of pics to help people decide on if the sizing works for them. Including how it looks in the firebox, etc. When grilling tonight, I put grates on top of it in the main chamber and it was great.
Would I buy it again? Actually, yeah. I can work around the sizing issues for things and work on a fire and grill things. Haven’t used it for smoking yet. My big concern is managing ash and making sure I cleanup stuff well enough to prevent it...

TJS: I don’t write reviews for products I buy on Amazon, until now.
This stainless steel firebox changed my Oklahoma Joe Longhorn smoker and how much fun I have cooking out.
We always loved the gas grill capability, as well as the opportunity to learn the art of smoking brisket, ribs, chicken, etc. But, I always fought keeping temperature up in the firebox...I had to babysit the smoker’s firebox all day. Dampers open, dampers closed. More charcoal. Stoke the fire. Constantly watching temperatures. I couldn’t keep heat up in the box even on the hottest summer day, and would ultimately have to finish the brisket in the oven. Still awesome and delicious, but I shouldn’t have had to go 8+ hours and not be able get the meat to well done—even with the Texas crutch—because of the lame heat in my firebox.
I found it hard to believe a stainless steel box would be such a game changer, but IT IS.
1) Well made and easy to put together (took under 10 mins). It’s robust and not flimsy.
2) Once it’s in the firebox, it fits like a glove and holds charcoal or small pieces of wood beautifully, allowing good airflow throughout the firebox and across the...
