M.C. : This key fob didn't work with my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. I spent 2 hours trying different code sequences to program the remote and researching programing of the remote online. Unfortunately I never got it to work.

I ordered from another key fob from a different company on Amazon. I got it programmed in less than 5 minutes!

Stephen D. Schwartz: Instructions are vague but got it programmed by watching YouTube video. Thing works great; originals were worn out and didn't work 50% of time even after battery change. Only had a week now so don't know long term reliability. Great price.

Matt: So far these are working great and programming was simple. I had one working remote (needed otherwise you have to go to a dealership) and the only difficulty (minor) was determining which procedure to use for my year (2004 seems to have to possible procedures, see below). Procedure 2 worked just fine and I have 3 working remotes now.

To program a remote you must already have a working remote. I you do not have a working remote you
must take to the item to a dealership or automotive locksmith for programming.
Procedure 1
1. Insert key into the ignition turn it to the ON position ( do not start the car)
2. Press and Hold Unlock on the functioning remote for 10 seconds.
3. While holding the Unlock button press the Panic button for one second. Release both buttons at the
same time. Vehicle will chime signaling programming mode.
4. Press any button on the 1st remote to reprogram vehicle will chime again.
5. Press any button on additional remote to program a second remote.
6. Turn off ignition to exit programming.
Procedure 2
1. Insert key into the ignition turn it to the ON position ( do not start the car)
2. Press and Hold...

Wayne E. Young: These were difficult to program, but it was operator error (me), and procedural error. First the procedure they sent did not work, then I think the batteries in my working remote started getting weak (it started taking longer for the doors to unlock the more I tried this, so I took that to be a sign of weak batteries). Once I used the proper procedure and I had checked and cleaned the batteries in my working remote they programmed perfectly. For anyone else who has trouble with programming these remotes, try the procedure I have copied below (this worked in my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport, I cannot vouch for any other vehicle):

Note: I do not think "Step 1" mattered. I tried it once when my batteries were low and it didn't make any difference. Once I checked and cleaned my working remote's batteries I did not do "Step 1" and the rest of the procedure worked fine. That being said, If you are having problems, then by all means try "Step 1"!

1. Press LOCK button 5 times at 2 second intervals to resynchronize remote.
2. Insert key into the ignition switch. Turn ignition to the RUN position (as far as you can go without cranking engine). Wait...

Gary Woodman: Received these last week, very easy to follow set-up instructions. Had them programmed in less then 5 mins. Dont waste your time or money going to the dealership.
