Steven Bonsu Ames: Just look for instructions for your vehicle online and follow them closely. I ordered two for a 2007 Toyota Highlander (not hybrid)). Everything works as expected and easy to do (unlock only drivers door and open; insert and remove key twice; close and open door twice; insert and remove key; open and close door twice; insert key; close door; turn key to on then to off and remove; press and hold down lock and unlock at same time for 2 seconds; press unlock for 2 seconds; repeat last 2 steps for each remote; open door to complete the process.

Includes a battery, which is nice as not all the others do. Since I just installed them I don't know about durability, but initially they look very similar to the original. Definitely worth the savings in money over the manufacturer's process and fob. Programming takes 2-3 minutes and a young child could do it - it's not hard or a big deal.

Mike M: Begin With;
- Driver's door open and unlocked
- Key out of ignition
1. Insert and remove the key from the ignition switch 2 times within 5 seconds

NOTE: Steps 2 and 3 should be performed within 40 seconds

2. Close and open the driver's door TWICE.

3. Insert the key into the ignition and remove it.

NOTE: Steps 4-6 should be performed within 40 seconds

4. Close and open the driver's door TWICE

5. Insert the key into the ignition

6. Close the door

7. Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" to "ON" and back to "LOCK" at about 1 second intervals to select the desired mode from the list below:
- 1 time for ADD mode
- 2 times for REWRITE mode
- 3 times for CONFIRMATION mode
- 5 times for PROHIBITION mode

8. Remove the key from the ignition

9. To confirm your mode selection, the power locks will now cycle "lock" to "unlock" a number of times corresponding to your key cycles in step 7.

NOTE: If CONFIRMATION or PROHIBITION modes have been selected, opening the door will complete the procedure.

10. For ADD or REWRITE modes, do the following within 40 seconds of Door Lock confirmation;
A -...

DamonDamon: I own a 2011 Toyota FJ cruiser and bought this in hopes of having a good reliable back up. Unfortunately it’s been a huge waste of time and money.

Following instructions for programming are pretty straightforward and effortless. That is the only thing that works.

As far as functionality and reliability this is where this Company is a big fail.

It only works about 30% of the time, which is very, very frustrating. Also makes no sense if it works some of the time, theoretically it should work all the time.

You lock the vehicle with the remote but then it won’t unlock with the remote. You have to use the key and deal with the alarm sounding. Or you walk away from the vehicle expecting the remote to work and arm alarm and lock the doors, but most of the time it simply doesn’t work. So you have to go back and use the key to lock it, whe having no alarm protection.

I’ve tried using it close to the vehicle, farther away, up high, down low. I’ve walked around the vehicle pushing the buttons with absolutely no response. I tried starting the car turning the car off and just about every other imaginable scenario. Bottom line there’s no rhyme or...

Clement Campbell: Works exactly as described ... Directions from webpage are vague but they're lots of YouTube videos that shows step by step setup.

ERF: The fob was easy to program and so far works just like the factory fob. I have no problem recommending this product.

vukc: Although it was claimed that is 100% compatible, I could not program this key fob to work with my Toyota Highlander 2003.
I followed website instructions step by step, entering into programming mode of my car but in the end result was that it did not take programming.
Technical support was useless as they sent me some YouTube links that are not even applicable to my car model.
I had to return this product. Would not recommend this key fob for Toyota Highlander 2001-2004 model.
