Didn’t have to reprogram new remote. Just took out old circuit board, replaced battery and put it in the new case. Works like new.
It came with directions the a locksmith but I’m pretty sure it’s not free. Quick and easy fix.

Barry Gerard: The fobs arrived as scheduled and I programmed both shortly after. Yes, they have to be programmed to work with your vehicle. I have a Thinkcar Pro diagnostics texted to do it. 2009 Cobalt. You may have to go to the dealer to have it done.

Ryan Kerr: One was half dead out of the package. My dealer was capable of coding both however one of them the unlock button does not work.
