This programming took me less than two minutes and the clear directions were step by step easy to follow. I will buy again if I need another fob. This was installed on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma.

Jennifer D.: Says it fits a 2016 Tacoma 2 places on Amazon ad. Only in one place in an ad it says up 2015, and nothing is found for this year when I look up programming online so it’s clear I was ripped off. Disappointed in the ad.

Luke M.: I ordered this replacement fob for a 2007 toyota tacoma after the original finally came apart. I was concerned about programming it but it was easy - just follow the instructions another reviewer posted here or go to remotesremotes.com and search for the instructions for your specific car. I JUST received this so I cannot speak to its durability.

Perry from Calgary: Programmed with no problems. Used the link with the card and it was the same as a YouTube instruction. Need a working Key and Remote in order to program it ! Quality isn't the same but at least I have another remote.

Nicholas Ninivaggi: Despite some people recommending going with a dealerships key fob, I went with this option and it works the same as any other fob. Only difference is I saved myself 380$ from the stealer ship. Took 3 mins to program just look up the steps on YouTube. It’s been working just fine for about 2 months!

Sacto Dad: Bought this for a 2011 Tundra thinking based on product description and some reviews that I could program this myself or at my buddy's shop using his OBD-2 scanner.
NOT THE CASE!!!
Going to the seller's website and plugging in my make/model/year, I discovered that this had to be done at the dealership or a locksmith. Based on a review I found, I took it to my buddy's Meineke shop where he tried to use his OBD-2 scanner, but he doesn't have the "Tech Stream" software (a proprietary Toyota software) and we were unable to get it done. Next up, called a local (Sacramento, CA) Toyota dealership, they wanted almost $200 and wouldn't guarantee it because it's an aftermarket fob. Lastly started calling around to locksmiths in my area and after getting several quotes ranging from $125 - $200, found a guy willing to do it for $90. It took him less than 5 minutes to pair it and has worked great for a little over a week now, but the overall experience was painful, eye-opening and EXPENSIVE!
Just thought potential buyers of this should know what you're up against. Not like you have a whole lot of options, if you need it, then you need it. GOOD LUCK!

wildman: I wasn't sure if this would work with my 2006 Toyota Sienna. Discovered the supplied coin battery was weak. If you are programming a Sienna like mine, you will be sitting in the driver's seat with the key out of the ignition. Before you start the procedure the instructions describe, make sure you have locked all the doors from inside the car. Then open the driver's door and perform the steps in the procedure. Until I did this "door-locking" step, I could not get the key fob to program. Otherwise, this key fob works great. My old one got to the point it would only unlock or lock the car when I was right next to the driver's door. This new one has a lot of range.

Mike: Like everyone else says, the sequence to program it is a little funky, but just Google it, and it works perfectly.
