Wandy n Dale: The book is easy to read. It makes points clearly and I came to realize that there must be a lot to this Keto diet and cancer. I am happy that I ordered the book, and after I have read it and reread it, I expect to be sharing details from it with friends who are diagnosed with cancer.

Amazon Customer: I needed to transition from a vegetarian/Gerson juicing diet to fats and proteins. This is the book.

F Young: I typically buy Kindle books as I can read everywhere but like to have hard copies sometimes. However I am so annoyed and frustrated by the small font size which is a size 6 if not smaller. I'm assuming it's to decrease the number of pages in the paperback to bring down the price but buyer beware. Unless you have great vision and/or great eye glasses, stick with the kindle version. I would return but the process is too onerous!

Deb: In my studies of the horrific disease of cancer since 2008 when my father was diagnosed with esophagal cancer and six months later my step-mother with breast cancer, I began my journey on the study of cancer and its causes. Is it hereditary, from a virus, parasites, bad diet, stress, etc.? This book as well as the findings of Dr. Thomas Seyfried (whom you'll find on youtube) convincingly shows without a doubt that it is none of those, but a metabolic disease. Now it all makes sense. Even Gerson, who has had success with cancer patients used a plant based approach which is no doubt a low glutamine diet. Those whose cancer is caused by glutamines can irradicate keep at bay their cancer from avoiding meat which is high in glutamines. But then those whose cancer is glucose based can irradicate their cancer through keto, very low glucose. How do you know which one to do? Miriam Kalamian points you to a low protein (much lower protein than most keto diets) with some vegetables, a combination of the two. This agrees with Dr. Seyfried's findings.
This book points the way to manage or irradicate cancer. Thomas Seyfried's book: An overview of Cancer as a Metabolic Disease is also worth a...

DritanB: This is a really good and informative book albeit a very lengthy one… I purchased it after the advice of my mentor. The only downside of of (this version (at least for me personally as a slow reader), is the fact that there’s no audio version of it on audible (or on author’s website) that would go along with printed or kindle versions of it (. The book contains very detailed and sometimes lengthy explanations of concepts explained. An audio version of the book that would go along with it, would be very helpful to speed up reading and completing it. Not sure why the author hasn’t considered such version. This is the reason for my 4-star rating

Israel Leite: The book lays a very strong foundation for the effectiveness of the keto diet for cance, both for the expert and the lay person. Additionally, it provides suggestions of extra resources: knowledge books, cooking books, measurement devices, softwares, ingredients, recipes, and tips on how to stick to the diet in different places and situations. However, the book makes it clear that commitment is necessary, given that it is a strict diet (even though it can be very tasty).

Ted T.: Implementing the KETO for Cancer Diet was extremely important to me. Prior to buying Miriam’s Book KETO for Cancer it was like walking around in the wilderness. Trying to do the best Incould but making mistakes. In just a few hours of reading I was able to make some significant changes to the diet that will assist me in my quest to overcome cancer. Understanding how to severely limit carbohydrates and protein and of course sugar can limit what happens in the body and makes it as difficult as possible for the cancer to survive or grow. Thank you Miriam for a wonderful book that takes the blindfold off and allowed me to understand how to implement this important diet into my life.

MohawkGorilla: Two years ago, I began tracking what my Radiologist thought was a Fibroadenoma. She recommended a biopsy at my February 2017 Ultrasound. At that time, I made a huge lifestyle change and went completely plant based and started juicing beets, carrots, celery, ginger and garlic EVERY DAY. I eliminated ALL MEAT AND DAIRY products from, my diet. Three months later, the lump had SHRUNK so much, that she no longer recommended a biopsy. Unfortunately, I thought I was free and clear and went back to my “healthy” high protein diet, with the rather frequent stops at Chick-Fil-A because it’s just so convenient and I my child was a toddler, so it's considered "healthy" fast food.
In October of 2017, after having rapid tumor growth in the previous two months, I was diagnosed Stage 3 A, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, HER 2+, ER -/PR-.
Fast-forward to January 2018. I finished 3 rounds of Chemo which annihilated the entire mass. I learned about a “Therapeutic Ketogenic Diet” There appeared to be sound research based on the theory that cancer uses glucose as a primary fuel source and by going into ketosis, one could effectively “starve cancer cells” and “prevent cancer growth”...

chris forr: This is a very useful book for starting a ketogenic diet for cancer patients. The main thing for me was the cronometer.com . With it you can plan you daily food intake and ensure you get under 20g of carbohydrates but still ensure you get enough fat...and a bit of protein. Offers a weeks worth of meal plans. I would have liked a chapter with testimonials from cancer survivors who had predominantly used the ketogenic diet but you can google some if you need to they mainly being brain tumour patients.
