Jan MalabarJan Malabar: Both of my cats *love* these combs! My medium-long hair Mr. Daffodil really enjoys being combed all over with them, he especially loves a good comb-massage around the cheeks and neck. My short hair Priti only really likes having her head and shoulders done but boy does she *like* it she just melts into a puddle of happy kitty goo every time.
It picks up more hair than i expected on both of them! Mr Daff sheds *a lot* and his hair is very loosely rooted and this has a nice balance between picking up a lot and not removing a lot that doesn't need to come out yet. So many tools I've used end up tugging out too much of his fur leaving patches that are far too thin behind and he won't complain because it doesn't hurt, but it's still not good. Priti sheds less, but it still picks up her loose hairs and collects more than i expected it would from a fine short hair without much shedding! Honestly, even if they picked up *nothing* i would be happy with them just because the cats enjoy the experience so much, the hair is kind of secondary in my opinion.

Denver Shopper: So apparently these are intended for medium and long haired cats. Both of my cats are considered short hair, but one is kind of on the border of medium hair and he's a bit fluffier. The comb is highly effective on him and he loves it. He's always been very partial to being brushed and this is no different. The other cat is definitely a short hair, and also has a history not particularly liking to be brushed. He didn't hate the comb but it captured very little of his fur, even though he's shedding a ton in the hot weather.
I would say this is a strong recommend - but only if you have a fluffy medium or long hair kitty, and preferably one who enjoys being brushed.

joyceC: I have tried so many brushes and combs on my long haired kitty. This is the first one she accepts.
This comb is easy to hold and does get into the undercoat. The teeth move up and down which makes it more comfortable for kitty.
Kitty is a senior and having a hard time getting to some of her fur. Her coat is looking shiny thanks to this comb,

JKC: This is the very best brush/comb for my cat that I have ever found....when I pick it up he knows and jumps on my lap and gets ready to be brushed.....really takes the loose hair and dander off of him.....easy to use and clean....Highly suggest you try it and feel sure you and you pet will love it.

The Desert CatMom: Most of my cats LOVE being brushed. This does a great job of picking up the fur/hair that is going to be shed. They seem to love it as well. The teeth on it are soft and feel good on the cats skin. They seem to like THIS comb better than most of them. Very inexpensive and good quality.
