It's small, but not too small for my medium size hands, and its not large enough to seem threatening. It has excellent Kershaw craftsmanship, materials, and construction as you would expect. It comes wicked sharp, stays sharp, and when needed, is easy to sharpen. The blue color is more attractive than I had expected. I have several Kershaw knives, several with assisted opening (AO) and this one just seems to keep finding its way into my pocket. I'm very pleased with this purchase. The Scallion is quite reasonably priced and could easily sell for much more. Buy with confidence.

david: I bought this for the weight. I was looking for a light weight pocket knife to wear w/ light clothing like shorts.
Very light weight and sharp. Works like you would expect from a Kershaw.

dave drutherosky: First off, its kind of funny I'm writing a review on this knife. Its one of the cheaper ones i own and I never did a knife review. I own several Spydercos, Benchmades and other USA made knives. The Ken Onion designed knives always appealed to me. I have been eyeing up some of the USA made Kershaw's for a while. I do own a ZT 0770CF which is basically a high end heavy duty Kershaw. I wanted to add a few smaller knives to my collection, I chose the Scallion and a Case I ordered at the same time. Back to the Scallion. Good looking knife, well made, good American quality. The color is not navy blue. It actually looks close to the color in the picture. A cross between royal blue with a little electric (Dodge truck blue) mix. Nice. The blade, pretty sharp out of the box, only some of my Spydercos had it beat there. Blade shape is kind of cool. Never sharpened one with a re-curve belly though. It is not the same blade you see in the picture. It has the three added holes like some I have seen on a google search. They look like they were added for design purpose only. I have seen other reviews about it not flipping open all the way. Let me say that some (most) pocket knifes come a little...

J. Pennauer: Wunderschön, ideale Hosentaschen-Größe, leicht, bestens verarbeitet, Flipper geht optimal, schöne Details, sehr gute Materialien, liegt ausgezeichnet in der Hand, perfekt.
Anders als auf der Abbildung sind die Torx-Schrauben und der Clip schwarz (sieht viel besser aus). Meines kam direkt aus den USA (Kershaw) über KnifeNirvana.
Empfehlenswert!

PNT: I’ve had a stainless frame-lock version of the Keyshawn Scallion for years and it is a truly great little knife. I was surprised to find that this aluminum handle liner-lock model is thicker and heavier and I’m not sure I like it anywhere near as much. It is actually as heavy as the larger frame-lock Kershaw Leek and well over 1mm fatter…but without the advantage of the larger Leek blade size. Finish on the anodized handle is nowhere near as silky smooth as the bead blasted stainless version. It’s a different animal altogether. Will have to see if I decide to keep it or send it back.
