Carafe is an excellent NO DRIP pot. Looks good. The issues that keep it from 5 starts is 1. it takes 38 minutes to brew a pot of coffee. It seamed to be taking a long time this morning ...even though the timer is set to go off 15 minutes before I am up and moving. Tested a pot with no coffee ..and it was a full 38 minutes ...way too long. Thankfully it allows you to pull the pot and get some coffee before it is done. 2. I am also seeing a large amount of steam coming from it and have never noticed that out of a coffee pot before. I would not set this under a kitchen cabinet. They all boil water so I don't know why this one has such visible steam in comparison.

Nicole Marie Morrison: I've recently bought this product; I moved from using a French press my entire life to a programmable coffee maker to save some time in the morning. My biggest concern was whether it would taste good, and overall I was pleasantly surprised. However, the lid did break immediately after taking it out of the box. When I called the 1-800, I was redirected and told that the phone call would be $4.50. It seemed pretty sketchy to me, and I hung up. I haven't found an email or another way of connecting with the supplier - So I hope they see this message. It seems like a simple fix, and I would love to have the lid replaced.

Richard H.: UPDATE….had this coffee maker now a couple of months. It’s horrible. I’m looking for a new one, again. It looks and acts like I’ve had the coffee maker for years. Do not buy!!! The stained pot, the noise it makes, it’s not worth the money. Save your money and buy something else.
It’s a nice coffeemaker. But, when the coffee is done it beeps LOUD. When it shuts off automatically, it beeps LOUD. It’s too loud. The other thing is, when you are trying to empty the coffee pot and have to open the cover you have to move your finger to open it. Usually it’s built right into the handle. It’s not! After I used the pot once it stained the pot. Usually, I don’t have to clean it right away. But, I makes good coffee.

Steve: Simple to use and easy to clean. Makes good coffee right away; you don't have to "break it in". The carafe has a no drip spout which is a good feature so you don't have to clean up drips from your counters.

Charles902: I love how well it works. It's quite quick and doesn't take alot of coffee to get good flavor. I like the reusable cone filter. I would prefer a coffee maker with a removable tank where you can take it to the sink fill it, take it back to the machine and click it in. I use it under a cupboard on my counter and find it a bit on the large/ tall side. It does however work very well and I'm happy with the value.

KingNothing: This is a great coffee maker, the only thing I dislike about it is the beeping it makes when coffee finishes brewing and when you set auto on, if they were to make it again I would highly suggest a toggle for the sound or remove it altogether.

vansks: I suspect it's the cone filter, but whatever the reason the coffee is much better tasting than what Mr. Coffee makes. Yes, it beeps loudly when done or when automatically shutting down, but that's okay with me. I had this identical pot for several years of multiple daily uses, so I expect it to be long lived. I use a paper filter as well as the screen filter because I don't want any sediment, screen alone leaves a bit in the pot.

Miss Mitzi: I've had this appliance for only one day (arrived way sooner than I expected!), cleaned it immediately, and made a perfect cup of coffee. I think I'm going to love this coffee maker! I was first impressed with the attention to details that Kenmore took to pack this appliance. I love the design of this appliance. I love that the flip-up lid allows plenty of room for my knuckles to pour water and to spoon in coffee grounds. I love the size and design of the carafe with its comfortable grip and its large flip-top lid. I love that it has a large opening for easy cleaning. It will be enjoyable again to make coffee.
