CarefreehwyCarefreehwy: Love this pet door. Followed the instructions on some of the other reviews and used a hot glue gun to seal and reinforce once in place. Installed in a side screen panel so it had to be installed from the inside of the room. A little challenging to install with one person and the panel in place. Used tape to hold it in place and a utility knife to cut the screen. My screen is stiff metal so it was difficult to snap the inside and outside frames together (the glue will help hold it together). This door is used by my cat several times a day for several months. It's solid.

alan bowman: We did not want to cut a hole in our wall so thankfully we found this. Install was super easy just make sure you have a really sharp knife for the screen door. Our dog (50-pound husky) will run threw it at full speed and does not tear the screen out. Let's us keep our sliding door open without the bugs coming in. The lock feature on it does not work for us at all. But over all it does everything we were looking for without making changes to our house.

Danny S.: The unit was smaller than anticipated due to the frame size taking away from the overall size of the pet door. Make sure your screen is in good consition and you install this with ample space on all sides. If you install to close the bottom of yoru screen, it will tear away from the mesh if your dog bangs into it.

HazyDayZDragonflies: Works well as a display prop for my vendor booth. Needed screen sample for my "Patio Door Screen Savers" - copper dragonflies and butterflies. Perfect for that. I do not have my own patio door so not able to rate product for its intended purpose. Sorry.

BardamuBardamu: Install was easy and took all of about 15 minutes. The installation just by pressure on the mosquito net seems to me fragile in use. It is essential to reinforce the frame with six 6/32 hexagonal bolts and screws around the door !

DCchicDCchic: Review may sound a little negative so starting with the overall review… I love love love this concept and the doggie door once I finally got it installed. I know I need to clean up the overhang on rescreening the door. It was my first time doing so and it’s hot and humid as hell here.

My installation experience and some feedback for the makers and others looking to purchase. After reading other reviews I figured I had to go rogue too and didn’t exactly follow the instructions.

This was near impossible for me to install alone and I’m super handy with a full workshop that puts most contractors’ workshops to shame. Read other reviews. You definitely need real screws/bolts for this. The tiny picture frame screws provided won’t work so be ready for that with your drill and a planned trip to the hardware store. The 3/4” #6 bolts I bought weren’t long enough to drill straight thru and then cap, although 3/4” flush mount screws may have been the right length. Couldn’t find acorn caps anywhere so had to settle for the hex nuts. I tried with 3/4 and will need to take out and replace with 1” so I can add the nuts and cover the sharp screw tips (which I...
