Jim D. McGuire: Lightweight and works better if you can lodge between places that can block wind from blowing away. Wish it was larger and heavier. Front opening should be fully open. Overall, good product for the price.

Brenda Dhayer: Our indoor cats had to be relocated to the outdoor because of an allergy issue. I wasn't sure the three cats would even want to try a house like this; but I think they quickly reconsidered because of the frigid PA temperatures. We actually purchased two of these so the three cats could share.

Roger D Brandt: When I first got into the package, I was leery that this pet house would work. It seemed a bit flimsy. It comes flat in a plastic bag, and you need to stretch it open. There are no anchors to secure the shelter to the ground (much like a camping tent would have) to keep it from blowing away in the wind, but I was able to find a place under an exterior overhang that sheltered it from rain/snow/wind. Under a porch or deck, or inside a garage/shed/barn might work, too. The second day I had this pet house outside, the neighborhood stray cats discovered it and have been using it every night. I think there are three cats that have moved in. Some of the nights here are below zero, so I am thankful that these critters at least have this pet house to help them shelter from the cold. The shelter is made of a nylon-type material, and has a felt-like floor. It seems as though there is some sort of batting in the walls that acts as an insulator.

Amazon AlliesAmazon Allies: I wanted to order a weather proof shelter for our 2 outdoor cats. I was happy to find this one and ready to pay for it, it seemed really nice. Well, as you can see from the picture it’s nothing that was asvertised. It has no sturdiness whatsoever and won’t hold up at all, how would it hold up my cats? It took forever to ship too. Must say, I’m very disappointed.
