Malvin: I used to have an issue where street cats would vomit, cough up hairballs, and on some occasions, even defecate on the hood of my car… I felt humiliated, defeated, and even targeted at times. I couldn’t take it anymore. I bought this product, set it out on the hood of my car, and like magic - I never had any issues with them anymore. After a couple weeks I think the cats got the idea.

The spikes are made of a plastic and rubber material. It didn’t scratch my car’s paint when laid directly on it but if you want you could consider putting a mat or tarp underneath to protect your cars surface.

This worked great for me. You just have to remember to roll it out on your car after you’re done driving for the day. Worth trying out!

Leah: Bought them to help train my dog to stay off the bed. Has been super useful in that regard. They were just hard to use in the beginning as they were rolled up so tight they were impossible to use without rolling up without weights on the ends. Once we got them to lay flat we got a hook to hang them against the wall for quick use when we leave the house and not having to hurt ourselves trying to roll them up awkwardly. So while very good at what I bought them for using them has been a hassle as them ship in a tight spiral that makes them nearly impossible to use.

Amanda: This comes rolled up do when you try to lay it on a flat surface, it keeps coming up. Have had mine a month and the one side still isn't laying flat. It's not like a rubber mat or even heavy. It's hard to explain the plastic. It is a very hard plastic though and the spikes are not rubbery or anything. They're actually pretty stiff and can hurt. Hasn't hurt my furbabies though but they've also stayed away from that counter. They haven't been on my counter since laying this across it. I would say this definitely achieved my goals of keeping my cats off the counters.

Amazon customer: Size listed is not correct. It says 40.6 cm wide, but each of the two items delivered to me measured 28 cm wide, or about 5 inches narrower than listed in the ad. Across 6.5 ft., this is a lot of missing coverage that I needed and expected to receive. I would have to take a third mat, split it half-way along the length and add each half to the two mats received, to make up for the seller's mistake. Not happy with seller for false information.

K. Wark: I think this item would be best used as one piece, even then I'm not sure how well it would stay in place. I had a couple spots I wanted to use this scat mat in so I cut the one long piece into smaller pieces and tried to hold them in place the best I could. It hasn't worked very well. I don't think the anchors are very good at all.

Condo Life: My condo has a nice little shaded second-floor patio I've 'landscaped' with large pots of ferns. There is a squirrel who resides in the tree in front of my street, easy branch jumping distance apparently, who developed a penchant for burying nuts in the soil of my pots. Every time I came out onto the patio, there were destroyed ferns and piles of soil all over the ground. This product solved the problem: I used scissors to cut out strips and arrange them around the soil in the pots (around the stems of the plants). No more buried nuts. However: it is a pain to install because the material will NOT lay flat. I had to pick up landscaping fabric pins (you know, those U-shaped metal dohickeys) at the local garden center to secure each strip along the edges. If you want to use, you *will* need to buy such pins (or other anchoring devices) and you *will* have to install over soil (large pots, garden beds). You CANNOT use it on your sofa or car as the product description suggests -- it's misleading. That said, it was easy to cut and 100% solved my problem (the low brown spikes aren't noticeable under the fern leaves, on the soil, so the landscaping isn't...
