Sue L: I was looking for something to help keep critters out of my plants. This does the trick. The best part is it can be cut to any size or shape. I needed to make some of my own anchors which is easy to do with tin snips and wire hangers! AND they are reusable. I will be able use the same ones next year!

Ken Hislop: I have connected two of these to keep cats off of a sofa. Works perfectly when I remember to use it. :-) My only negative comment would be that the two sections do not stay snapped together well, I often need to reconnect them. Other than that, I think this product would work in a variety of applications.

J. D. Clymer: This roll of cat scat mat works really well in my garden to keep the neighbors cat out. It was easy to install. Simply position starting point, anchor with two landscape/garden staples, roll out to cover desired area, anchor end point, and cut with scissors. Ten landscape/garden staples was not enough to complete the installation I was doing because as I was dividing this roll into four different sections. If you are doing a single installation with this 13’ roll or dividing it in two, ten landscape/garden staples may be enough for you.

thuguet: Discovered I had a cat using an area of my garden for a litter box. Looking on line for something to keep cats away I found this and thought I’d give it a try.

Seems to work, as I haven’t seen any evidence of the cat for about a week now.

The mat itself is smaller than it may appear in pictures. It is only about a foot wide. The area I wanted to use it in was about 30 inches wide, so I had to lay two rows, which nearly covered the area. For this reason, I ordered the longer roll and it was just barely enough. If you have a large area to cover, you’ll have to order a lot, which may become expensive.

The mat cut easily with my utility scissors to adjust the fit. However, when I got towards the end of the roll where it was wound more tightly, the plastic cracked when I tried curving it backward to straighten it out.

I saw a video for the product where they put it down with mulch on top. I thought that would defeat the purpose of the mat unless you used very little mulch. Therefore, I put the mat on top of my brown mulch and from a distance you don’t really notice it, as the plastic is dark colored.

Ms. P. A. LaneMs. P. A. Lane: After my 6 year old housecat escaped he was a completely different cat on his return.

He has always been a territorial cat where if you leave the bed unattended or anything material on the sofa he will strike.

However he started to target the sofa x3 times a day without anything on it. It being a leather sofa it was difficult to clean and we spent so much money on enzyme cleaners etc and even a hydrophobic throw to discourage him.

We were going to ban him from the living room altogether but decided to buy these spikes which had mixed reviews. In the spot he was targeting I cut the strip in two and placed half on back of the sofa and the other portrait on the bottom with a puppy pad underneath.

I also placed a shallow tray with a puppy pad in it at first on the sofa but have been gradually moving this further away. Anyway it's been over 2 weeks now and he has not soiled the sofa. I don't like how the spikes look amd don't want to come across as mean mother but this is the only thing that has worked and they have not injured themselves on them.

So if you are at the end of your tether seriously give these a go.
