NB: Hiked 6 days in the rain with a large group. I was the only person without blisters and who had dry feet. These are excellent boots

L. Burnette: But most boots aren’t. These are otherwise quality boots and I’m comfortable in them - I just have to take care to lace them tightly to keep heels from slipping.

Margaret R. Barbuty: I’ve been on 5 hikes since these arrived. We are having a very, very wet November. I have trudged through paths that were 4” deep water for a long distance and my feet remained dry. Also good traction on slippery , muddy surfaces. Very comfortable boots.

Danestra: I always worry about whether a pair of hiking boots will really be wide enough for my wide feet. These 8 wides fit beautifully. They aren't as thoroughly padded as my older pair of Keen's. But, there's plenty of room in the toebox. I bought these used from an Amazon merchant and was a little nervous about buying used footwear. But, think about it! For hiking boots, this means less breaking in time. They arrived in very good condition. Glad I made the decision to purchase them.

Patriot RocketRider: i just went through quite a few hiking boots, and I choose 2 as my top choices. I want a mid-ankle boot that provides a lot of ankle support. Both the Keen Targhee 3 and the Merrill Moab 3 boots fit the bill. Here's the difference...the Keen Targhee was made better, had more foot padding and felt a bit more substantial. I had to put shoe stretchers in my Size 9 because I could feel the interior ribbing against my toes. After the stretch, it fit perfectly. (The size 9.5 was way too long!). Same with the Merrill's so it could just be the length of my foot. I choose the Keen Boots. I am very satisfied with my Keen boots...but there is a major problem. THE LACES ARE PRETTY BUT D**** WORTHLESS!!! The laces have too much polyester is them so they slip, and slip, and slip. Even surgeon's knots come untied. If you tie a regular shoe tie, the laces are untied in about 10 steps...every time!!! I have since ordered non-slip boot laces. So, I recommend these boots...but the manufacturer/designer puts laces on these boots that are for looks only! I would think that Keen would provide a non-slip lace with their well made boots - but they don't!! Check the reviews.

gibsonfridge: The fit is exactly right. They have plenty of toe wiggle room, they are soooooooooo comfy, I could have slept in these things. They are lightweight, they are soft, they are just excellent. The price is terrific, in a store, they would have cost two times as much. They are well balanced, they have the greatest cushioning, they feel just soooo good. I can not say how much I love these. I looked at a lot of other boots, but, these, were really worth waiting for and looking for, these really are the best, thank you Amazon.

RichD: Great ankle and arch support. Waterproof is important as many of the trails have become a bit wet recently… Have recommended to friends and family. Replaced a similar pair purchased 10 years ago that started to show signs of aging.

E. Johnson: Was looking for something to wear in the muddy and slushy times of year when sneakers or snow boots don't quite work. I have intermittent plantar fasciitis and a bad bunion on one foot, so finding an affordable pair that's comfortable for both feet is a challenge. I was so happy to discover that these came in a wide width! I actually contacted Keen customer service before purchasing, and they were super helpful. Better yet, the boots were instantly comfortable when I got them. I did use a shoe stretcher to expand my bunion area a little, but otherwise there was pretty much no break-in period needed. In fact, I wore them first for a long afternoon of errands... and for the first time in ages, my feet weren't crying for relief by the time I got home. Super happy with this purchase!

Debbie Hutchings: Just back from a weekend in the Yorkshire Dales and although I'd had little chance to break the boots-in, these were comfortable out of the box. I have plantar fasciitis so needed boots with good arch support and these fit the bill. The toe box is wide so allows for a decent toe spread. I walked well over 20 miles and had zero issues. They are perfectly waterproof so far and the grip is fairly decent.

Sushmita AindSushmita Aind: The media could not be loaded. Positives:
-The shoes were pretty snug fit and it took a while to break into them, but they support my feet so well, especially on rocky surfaces.
-The ankle support is awesome as I tripped on some surfaces and there was no damage done to my feet.
-As much as I can tell, they are pretty waterproof, my feet did get wet but only when the water splashed in from the top ankle side, which is natural.
-On a muddy surface, my shoes were a little bit resistant on not pushing my feet further in the mud.
Negative:
-The shoe laces get undone easily, no matter how tightly they are put together or even after trying different techniques.
