LedouxsLedouxs: What an awesome little interchangeable rod! Pulled up a couple nice little ditch pickles before the sad and unthinkable happened, the rod got snapped. It didn't look like a quality issue with the rod, just unfortunate circumstance. Anyway, I emailed kastking customer support and in days they had sent me the piece (ml 27" tip) that broke totally free of charge. I'm going to keep buying kastking products because now I know they stand behind them. Even better than big manufacturers like pure fishing who own abu Garcia and didn't even reply to my email about a crap abu rod I had. Buy kastking and know they've got your back!

JoT: Ordered the IM6, Used quite a bit during the winter 2022. ML tip is sensitive enough to bring me up few pan fish. Only thing don’t like is the tip tend to rotate. Thought defective and got a replacement, same issue. Had to use tape to keep it from moving. Beside that it is a great ice rod. Only use the ML Fast tip so far. Light sensitive fast action soft tip with strong backbone. Love it enough ordered the Linear glass tips also love the ML tip on this one. Both sets ML seem like Light Fast action rods.

Updated 2/8/2023. These ML rods have soft tip. Had a chance to use them for ice fishing. Now my fav among my more expensive rods. Started out using the the ML carbon rod for few days, feel great caught many panfish on the -20 below zero day, tip broke after caught many panfish and the last one pulling up a sunny, not sure if because of the negative degree, switched to ML glass rod and love it even more. Continue to catch many fishes and few days after managed to pull up 4 channel catfishes between 2-4lbs within 30 min, same hole. Lost couple more good size catfishes that came up but hook came loose. Was exiting and amazed how well the glass rod bend and hold up well. Soft...

Works2much: I have caught a lot of panfish with this rod. It’s relatively sensitive and you can both see and feel the bite. I have never used the heavier tip as the lighter one has plenty of backbone for my purposes. If anything, I wish the lighter one was lighter yet so it would show extremely light bites a little better. I’d the fish are active and aggressive this rod will serve you very well. Build quality is good and the handle feels really nice. I love the shape of the handle as it fits my grip perfectly.

Z. Jackson: I was shopping for a versatile rod for general purpose ice fishing and found this one with switchable tips. For the price the construction seems really good, all guides were true and aligned properly. The interchangeable tips were a neat add on for different fishing applications. The rod looks great and feels nice in your hands. The bright tips will be nice for seeing tiny bites against the white ice or dark water in your hole. The light action tip is super flexy, almost like a wet noodle, but the feedback received at the base of the rod is very noticeable.

I have not had a chance to take it out on the ice yet, since well there is no ice yet around here, but I'm sure it will work just fine. The included storage tube is a nice addition to keep the rod safe in my 5 gallon bucket, and to give me a place to keep the other tip when I'm not using it.

I removed one star because the o-rings / bands that hold the reel on were super tight. I ended up dipping them briefly in boiling water to soften them up a bit and help them stretch over my reel's mounting foot.
