Dawn: This is absolutely perfect for camping and bushcraft. The ability to wear it around your neck so it doesn't get lost is a great bonus!

L: I bought one for myself and one for a gift. I chose this one since the reach is longer than a lot of the others. It is very helpful when camping, especially when you are stuck with damp wood. Allows you to deliver air low into the fire to stoke it. It's a back saver, as you can do this from your chair and do not have to get down on the ground. I like the included pouch and lanyard. The silicon tip on the blowing end is especially appreciated when the temperatures outside are cold. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the diameter of the tube narrows down quite a bit towards the end, restricting airflow more than ideal for such a device.

YcYc: First of all, the packaging is very careful. The blowtorch, the collection bag and the strap are all packed separately. Good quality metal, not the kind of cheap metal production. With a period of time there is no rust and scratch. The mouthpiece is a plastic soft nozzle, so it won't hurt your lips if you blow on the fire for a long time. The extended length better adapts to the wilderness and the stretch is just the right amount of tightness. The bright orange color and the fluorescent stripes on the outer pouch make it easy to find at any given time. The workmanship is excellent, even for something as small as a sling. All in all this inexpensive little item was a little surprise to me.

shopping for stuff: I have not had a chance to use this on an actual fire but I think it will work very good. I have spend too many years blowing big breaths at a fire probably sucking in ash, and smoke or flapping like a crazy bird with a piece of cardboard at the fire to get it to stay lit. I tried this with just my hand and the force of the air that comes out is great and I like the long length because you don't have to get close to the fire. It came packaged very nicely and should be a great addition to any campers or backyard s'more masters kit.

John RigdonJohn Rigdon: The tube is the perfect length for me at 6' to easily stoke a fire. It loses heat quickly after use so it can quickly be stowed. The case is highly visible at night and has enough room in it that I added a fero rod stroller cotton balls and a potrolium jelly packet for starting fires easily.the lanyard is well made and easy to use. It is well made and is sturdy but when open it could be bent. For the price it is great.
