Kalamera 24-Inch Beverage Refrigerator Cooler for Chilling Drinks

BeefSupreme: I was leery of this brand but took a chance because of pretty good reviews and I am glad I did. Its not loud at all and very pleasant sounding, IF you even hear it. The pull out wine rack is great. It was shipped with no damage. Make sure to follow instructions before you use it. Let it sit flat for 24hrs. Then turn it on. Don't put anything in it for another 24hrs.

My only gripe is that the inside stinks. Has that nasty chemical / new product smell. I attempted baking soda but that isn't working. Might just have to leave the door open for a few days to air out.

I am writing this review to share my very mixed experience with this wine fridge. When it arrive and we initially plugged it in, the lower zone did not cool properly. It was set to 55 and wouldn't cool past 65. I left the unit overnight thinking it would sort itself out, which was a big mistake. Came downstairs the next morning to see the temperature gauges reading 99 and 71 degrees inside the unit!!! Glad I didn't have any of my wine inside of it. Needless to say, this wine fridge was a complete lemon.

I called the Amazon customer service and they promptly opened a ticket with Kalamera. After a few days they responded and ask several questions to help diagnose the issue. They offered to send me the parts, which I would then have to install myself. After this realization, I quickly asked amazon for my refund, which was granted to next day. With large items such as this, Amazon would rather leave the unit with the buyer than pay for someone to come get it. So now I was stuck with a non-functional wine fridge in my kitchen.

Mike Troutman: I've had the Kalamera for about 3 weeks and am very satisfied with it. This is a very attractive wine fridge, which vents out the front bottom. I put it under a counter top and left room on the sides and the back to give it extra venting. I have it in a small wine room that also has a large Eurocave wine fridge. The Kalamera makes more noise than the Eurocave, but I am not bothered by the noise because the wine room is in the back part of my house. As with most wine coolers, the Kalamera will not hold 46 bottles, unless they are all standard sized Bordeauxs. I was able to get some of my larger bottles like pinots and Turley zins in the Kalamera, but I have to be careful to place them with the labels down so that the label doesn't scrape against the shelf and tear the label. The temperature setting does not accurately reflect the actual temperature in the two cooling zones. However, the difference between the temperature setting and actual temp is about 6 degrees Farenheit, and I adjust the setting to compensate for the difference. Family R: On larger and costly items its significantly harder to maintain high reviews. There is a lot on the table for the manufacturer as well as the customer. It's for this reason that I generally try not to knit pick on my larger purchases.

Overall we are pleased.

The things that surprised me:

I was impressed by the packaging. It is on a custom pallet, fit to size and the box lays right over the top of the product. So when it comes to unpacking it's a matter of simply cutting the tension cords and simply lifting the box off the product. Not only did the product make it safe and sound I really appreciate the thoughtful "ease of entry."

I was impressed with the styrofoam tray under the product. I feel that someone designed the product with a thick styrofoam tray that helps it stay stable during shipping, however, it also served as a great resource as we were testing and fitting the item into our new space. I could safely drag the wine fridge around my wood floors without scratching the unit or my floors.

It's pretty quiet... no louder than my free standing fridge. no weird vibrations.

The appliance came with a wine opener... that is a nice...
