Feather: This fire survival kit is great!
It has that which is needed to start and light many fires from a scratch. While this kit may not be the "epitomy" of fire kits I would rate it near the top of the list. I have purchase many of these kits, over six, since I obtained my first one and will still purchase more of them over time. This fire survival kit is not for the clumsy, heavy-handed person, but for the deliberate survivalist and, for the money, the best that I have found.

Wade: Would have given it a 5 star review had it not been missing the ferro rod. I reached out to the seller, who responded very quickly, and sent the missing item. Great customer service.
As for the product, it’s just as pictured and described. Haven’t needed to use it, but I’m sure it will do the job should the need arise.

Lupini: Bought this for the knife to put in another kit. Was pleased with the other items as well.

LuisLuis: Why did I purchased this Pocket survival fire starting kit from Steve Kaeser? , because everything you need to start a fire is in 1 kit. It's really a no brainer. The kit IMHO is reasonably priced and the items are of good quality. Everything pictured was included in my kit. I read other reviews where perhaps 1 item was overlooked (But Steve made good) but not in my case, Although i haven't used my kit yet, I have no doubt that it will function as intented. The small knife is roughly 3 3/8" it did come sharp, it wasn't razor sharp, but with minor work it should work out just fine. It did shave some hairs from my hand so it has promise. The wood pieces are 4" in length and they smell fantastic. Whenever i want to be in the woods i open this kit and I'm transported to the back woods. I live in the east so i have to travel a good while to appreciate what others have a few feet in there back yards. I luv my kit and I do recomend it. I will add, i am not affiliated with the vender nor did i receive a discount on the item for my review.

Dan Rather: Seems good overall but I did not receive a ferro rod. Otherwise exactly as advertised.
