Das Messer hat KEINE Einhandöffnung und die Klinge ist ca. 7cm lang, schön zu greifen und mit Verriegelung.

Das Besteck kam unversehrt an, die Tasche ist ganz nett und das Messer schön scharf.
Leider ist die Gabel ziemlich scharfkantig.
Das komplette Besteck ist mit Öl benetzt (Augenscheinlich kein Speise- sondern Mineralöl) warum auch immer das bei Edelstahl nötig sein sollte.....
Ich habe es gründlich gereinigt und so ist es für unterwegs bestens geeignet, Ich verwende es auch gerne in der Arbeit.
Die Befestigung der Teile untereinander ist ausreichend stabil.

Super sharp. Nice that it comes with a nylon sheath keeps it clean when you travel with it ie in a lunchbox

Amazon Customer: The best folding utensil set I've ever had. The utensils can be seperated so you can use the knife, fork,and spoon seperately. Easy to clean, small and has a razor sharp knife. Also comes with a lofetime warranty from Ka-Bar, which basically supplies the whole U.S. military with their knives. Great product from a company with a reputation for quality.

BrandiW: I admit to buying this thing more as a novelty than anything else but it's actually a very well made tool (it is a Ka-Bar after all). It's 100% stainless steel so it's extremely rust resistant and definitely made to last (no bent utensils here!). You can use it with the handle if you just need one of three utensils or disassemble it to use all three individually. It's definitely more comfortable to unfold just one utensil, such as the spoon, with the others still folded into the handle but it's not too bad using them individually. It comes apart pretty easily leaving you with a spoon, fork and a knife. Each utensil unfolds into a size that all but the huge handed can comfortably use. The fork has a bottle opener built into it which is a plus for those "roughing it" outings that have beer lol. The knife blade will need sharpening if you want it to be "pocket knife" sharp but I left mine as is since it's plenty sharp for cutting food. Once you're done with dinner you can clean your utensils and assemble them back into their original compact size.

Let's be honest here, these utensils aren't perfect. The spoon is pretty shallow and a little small. The fork is also a little...

Amazon Customer: Such quality item! Before purchasing this item, I bought a similar set made by Acme at the nordstromrack store online. I'm not sure if it's the same Acme brand that makes whistles or not, but the built was terrible in the sense that the it looks like it was a roughly used item even though I opened it brand new. The knife of the Acme set was rather dull. Onto the Ka-bar...

Size: As others have mentioned in the reviews, this set is kind of small. IMHO, it's better that it's small because it's made for travelling, not for everyday use at home. If people go for camping, the SPOON will not do well if you want liquidy soup. Might as well bring the bowl up to your face and slurp up all the low viscosity soup. I would imaging it wouldn't be a problem eating beans or chunky food.

The KNIFE as other reviewers is very sharp, feels stable in the hand, and it locks securely in place with a release button and the end of the handle. If you're right-handed, the spoon will be in the palm of your hand and I think you get a better grip of the knife that way. When it's split up into 3 pieces, it does not feel awkward to hold in the hand like the Acme knife above. It still feels really...

Joe: I've had a knock off version of one of these for years. EXACT same design, very possible it was made for Cabela's by Kabar...but it only says Cabela's on it. I mention this because the design has proven itself over and over on many different occasions. I'm buying this Kabar set so I can carry one around all the time, and leave my other (Cabela's) one in my EDC/Camp bag. As far as the Ka-bar set in itself, very solid, not too heavy and the pieces fit together TIGHTLY. The Cabela's one has worked itself loose on occasion, so I have to keep it in a little nylon bag to keep from losing parts. With the Kabar model, I expect this will be less of an issue. The knife on the KaBar has a very fine point, but the edge on the blade is only minimally sharpened. Enough to cut a steak maybe, but nowhere near razor sharp. I'm happy with most of the product...but let's go ahead and address a few cons.

First off, don't expect a tool made in Olean, NY. This was made in China. It's a sad day when an amazing company like Ka-Bar with such a historical significance outsources it's products to another country. It doesn't seem to affect the quality really, it is still a Ka-Bar...but for some...
