Forlorn WandererForlorn Wanderer: Awesome khukuri, not anything traditional by any means, but a beast of it's own rights. The blade seems to be thinner than trad Khukuris, especially towards the front where they tapered the spine into false edges. Works great for my purposes, however. Mostly for limb clearing and bushwacking. I suppose you could sharpen those back edges, but I highly recommend you don't due to the sheath's design and for safety reasons, but with a kydex sheath you might be able to do it. Speaking of the sheath, let's get to that. I ordered this for the knife mainly, but also for the nice leather D-ring dangle sheath. However, to my dismay, I received an all nylon sheath with some plastic and metal on it. Now to their credit, it's good quality nylon and should last a long time, however I hate nylon loop sheaths, and so I immediately modified it. I simply cut one loop side off, awled a hole on the other, singed the loose threads and and put a Pull the Dot loop on it. Much better now, and I don't have to take my belt off to put it on. I also added a big key ring on the top strap for quick deploy, for the lulz. Simple modifications that will make it much better. Overall, I'd give it 5 stars if the...

Dave and Sheri: I have cleared some thick bush with this knife and have had no issues. It's a great chopper with a nice weight to it. Easily cuts through saplings and branches. I used to have a Gerber machete and it barely lasted a week before the blade was bent and wavy.

This knife will definitely last and it takes a beating.

The only nick I have in the blade is when I hit a shovel with it by accident. It actually took a bigger chunk out of the shovel. LOL.

No complaints here. On year 2 of owning this great knife. My wife just bought herself one too.

Amazon Customer: I've owned so many knives in my life. This kukri is the best all around knife I have ever owned and it not half as expensive of other's I've purchased. I've used this for chopping down tree's 6+ inches in diameter. I've chopped hundreds of logs , hardwood and softwood in the dead of winter and not a single chip. I've had it for over two years now and I haven't even needed to sharpen it. The edge retention is UNREAL. An incredible chopper. It also gets wet on a regular basis and no rust. I do try to keep it dry as much as I can but I've had other blades that start to rust with much less moisture.

Alexei: This kabar kukri is not bad. In fact, it's definitely well made, but I am a bit disappointed with it. Here's why:
1. The coating on the blade feels like asphalt shingles. It's very rough. I can literally file my nails on it. Unfortunately it also marks very easily.
2. The edge is fairly stout, dull and high angle - clearly designed only for chopping. Yet, it's the kukri blade is not really long enough to make chopping easy. Sharpened length of the blade is about 10" long. Sure, it's longer than most knives but those knives can also be used as, you know, knives. This kukri would require significant edge modifications to be used as a regular knife.
3. The handle is a bit too round for my liking - the blade wants to spin in hand fairly easily on hard strikes and it isn't that easy to index the blade just right. There is also no finger guard so stabbing anything is not a good idea.

What I do like about this kukri:
1) it's clearly very well made. The lines are clean and the blade is about 5/32" thick. I still wouldn't use it for prying though as it gets thinner towards the tip.
2) Unsharpened portion of the blade creates a finger choil, allowing to get more...

SunnyBlocker: I bought this Ka-Bar 8 months ago and intended to use it as a camp/utility knife. I don't typically review items so let me just get right to it. Buy it it now. If you are interested enough in this blade to sift through the reviews then just buy it, you will not be disappointed.

If you are still reading this instead of entering your Ship To information then you are one of those people that need a little more info, so read on.

First impression opening this Kukri is summed up most completely with "F-yeah." It looks awesome. This knife has the presence of a serious tool/weapon without sacrificing utility for that ninjas and zombies BS that will have you laughed out of camp. It has confidence inspiring heft but is not too heavy to wear on a belt all day. The blade is strait and sharp. The coating seems to be of high quality. The rubber of the handle is soft enough to provide excellent grip and still very firm and durable. You will not be able to wait to try it out. That says something about a tool.

First impression using this thing was "........." Speechless. I've used plenty more traditionally shaped machetes as well as all manners of axes and hatchets. This is a...

M. BeckerM. Becker: I will keep this short simply because of all the other reviews written even though I usually write huge long reviews for blades! Goes to say that I don't need to repeat anything- exactly as expected as said from other reviewers! To start, I'm a teenager male survivalist. Ever since I got my first knife when I was 9 years old, I have been fascinated in studying knives and their Rc, Heat treatment, Handle materials, knife making( yep this is a fun but patient-requiring thing to do!- although I don't know how to forge a kukri yet) , and much more. However, my biggest teacher was the one of trial and error. I have learned which knives are good- full tangs, locks, etc. I used to get a knife and get upset after a few days simply because I didn't think it was ' good enough'. A lot of knives broke. A lot of money was wasted on junk knives that had hypocritical good looks about them at the flea market. But ALL THOSE HARD SHIPS WERE WORTH IT!! - even for just this one knife!

What I am trying to say is that all that was worth it just for this knife. This is the best knife I have ever owned. Ok, yeah I have 100$ knives in my drawer too but those are large lock blades and bushcraft...
