Bubbagrande: Cheap construction compared to oem triumph parts. Mesh will let all sorts of micro particles into your engine.

Turp: I installed the K&N model TB-9004 on a 2015 Bonneville T100. This filter quality is on par with other K&N Filters I have used.
When installing, take care to pay attention to the filter seating properly on the far end of the air box. There are tabs on the far end of the airbox and the filter can move out of position while reinstalling the airbox cover. If it does, the filter will crumple slightly. I believe this is the source of complaints this filter does not fit. I installed mine a couple of times to check this and found it to be the case. The filter sets out ever so slightly as does the OEM filter. Just make sure to keep it in position as the cover is replaced. This is not difficult and the filter can be adjusted as the cover is positioned. Also put a rag over the frame where the filter exits. The filters have metal frames which will scratch the powder coat on the frame.
I have used K&N filters for years because of their long lifespans. While they, and others, claim increased performance output in applications, this is negligible in my experience. I buy them because they can be cleaned and reused in my vehicles tend to keep them a long time. Based on...

pinoz: I was about to return this because when placed inside the cavity it sticks out a several millimeters compared to the original filter, and when I put the cover back on it the cover itself doesn't go all the way contacting the bike but sits on the filter itself.
After watching a few videos online though I simply tried putting the cover on and screwing it down and it works perfectly. What happens is that the rubber polymer gasket pre-attached on this filter is thicker and sturdier than the original foam seal, and it needs some force applied to it. Once everything is screwed down the seals are good, both between filter and cover and between cover and bike.
Some other review mentions the need to take the original gasket and put it on the new filter. I have no idea what they are on about since the polymer gasket on this new filter is hard glued on, and so is the foam gasket on the original filter. Also there is no mention whatsoever of this on the instructions. My guess is that was an older model/version of this product..
Bottom line is that I simply took the filter out, put the new in, screwed it down, done.

SaharaJeepguy: Bought for my 13' Triumph Speedmaster. It's a great air filter. I'm not paid to do this review but I am an enthusiast as I know how it is finding reliable info/opinions. (Especially with Triumphs)
Comparing the stock filter side by side with the kn the difference is substantial. The stock filter had a steel cage enclosure that i would assume added restriction to air flow on top of it being a paper design. The kn is a lighter built design but just as durable. The kn also has a rubber seal instead of the stock foam that fatigued over time for a worse seal. Kn came also can't lightly oiled which from my experience oiled filters are THE only way to get clean air into an engine. Multiple desert bikes with multiple race miles tells me that! You don't use paper filters in the silt beds..
Performance wise I will add that there was a noticeable difference in throttle response.. Power came on much faster and hit redline much quicker.. Which shows an overall increase in power obviously. I did remove the snorkel that pushes into the air filter at the same time of install of the kn (which added major restriction of air flow). IMO also the stock air box on my EFI bike (not sure...

Scrambler: Used this to replace the OEM air filters that need replacing on the service intervals on my Triumph Scrambler. This is only marginally more expensive than the OEM filter. Whilst all vehicles have their consumables, I found it wasteful to have to throw away a filter when a reusable one was available. So it made sense to invest in this.
The size is the exact, the K&N feels a bit sturdier/stiffer than the OEM filter. Just be sure to wrap a cloth around the frame that is next to the airbox when removing the OEM filter, as it has a metal outer than resembles a cheese grater and will damage the paint. The K&N does not have this, so its easy to install.
There is no need to have to change the ECU settings on the EFI scrambler, it's literally a plug and play installation.
Comes with a warning sticker (which i placed on the snorkel of the airbox), to warn robotic mechanics that may be servicing your bike that it's a reusable filter, and not to discard it.
