moonowl75: She is such a great story teller! I love her characters and how she weaves their stories together and connects them to their past. So passionate and intriguing, it sucks you in so you’re immersed in it. I really do love Jude Deveraux’s books!

Charlotte Hunt: A very fun and adventurous story!! A classic Jude Deveraux read. One of my favorites so far in the Edilean series!

Bubbles: In the end, I’ve like each book in this series. There’re all good books, but some are better than others. This was a good book, well worth the read but a little draggy in places. I’ll even admit to skipping over some pages, but this story fits into the series so I’m glad that I read it.

Susan Chua: From the beginning an adventure had started. I loved the mystery & the twist of Alex' case. I love seeing how Cay learn to cope with the situation. She's a fighter.
Love how they were connected via Nate & Nate's loyalty. I liked how Adam had a good head on his shoulders & do not jump into conclusions.
It's great to know the start of CAY paintings & the Merlin Farm.

K: Always a pleasure to read a good Jude deveraux book. This being from the Edilean series in my eyes made it a must read. Here you find out the beginnings of some of our favourite families from Edilean. Romance, adventure, great characters.

Lifelongreader: I read Jude Deveraux books for their pure escapism and rarely feel let down when in need of a little lift! This one fits the bill exactly as expected and whilst Miss Deveraux will never likely win academic credit for her books, for that simple feel-good factor she is, in my opinion, unbeatable. The format is typically Deveraux in its predictability and whilst the outcome is obvious from the first pages the route she takes to get you there is certainly not predictable and is full of enjoyable little twists and turns and interesting characters. Another page-turner from the excellent Miss Deveraux.

MHarris: I love Jude Deveraux and she again didn't fail in writing a book that keeps you intertained and makes you laugh and want to continue to read it. Alex has been sent to prision and is plotting an escape. CAY has been convinced by her "uncle" to go help him as he can't as he was injured. This starts off an adventure for Alex and CAY that keeps you interested and at times makes you laugh. It does have a few slow spots but Ms. Deveraux always brings it back around and gets you back hooked. I'm waiting now for the books on all CAY's brothers and her girl friends mentioned in the book.
