One has to exclude the language but has a lot to say about the colonial period. .
I found it a difficult read ending to backtrack a few times due to the writing style..

This book is well written. The prose does not lend itself to skimming. It is enjoyable to read even though it was written a long time ago. Apparently it was the basis of the movie Apocalypse Now. Very affordable too since it's in the public domain.
