Lawrence Tolentino: The Swing Arm Lamp by Joly Joy arrived in perfect condition. I opened it and the product was packed in a Styrofoam molding for the lamp itself along with the AC adapter.

I set it up and attached it to my desk. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that the 360-degree swivel applies to the arm itself, so I can switch between having a light for my desk and a lighting source hover directly above my digital piano.

My only gripe with this product is that the user cannot manually control the brightness and color levels. I wish there were respective knobs to be able to finetune instead of holding onto pressure sensitive buttons when you've forgotten if you left it to lower or raise the levels.

Other than that, this was a very necessary purchase since my Target desk lamp would get in the way and take up desk space from time to time.

PROS:
• Puedes colocarle un enchufe inteligente para usarla con Alexa u otro asistente.
• Viene muy protegida, esta cubierta totalmente por una bolsa plástica para evitar que se ralle.
• Los modos de luz son perfectos para leer o hacer tareas. Si eres estudiante o trabajador y requieres mayor apoyo de Iluminación, esta lámpara es para ti.
• Al poder externderse abarca mucho espacio pero también lo ahorra, mas si la colocas completamente vertical (ejemplo en foto)
• Sus articulaciones son firmes y estéticas, dejan detras esos diseños que usan resortes que se ven mal y con el tiempo se deterioran.

Contras:

• Al tener botones capacitivos es difícil encontrarlos cuando estás completamente a oscuras.
• La prensa no tiene goma de protección así que considera colocar algo para proteger tu escritorio.
• La calidad del eliminador de corriente deja mucho que desear, pueden mejorarlo.

Recomiendo la compra al 100% su relación entre calidad y precio es...

Dale in Tennessee: This lamp would be absolutely perfect if it weren't for the frustrating controls. They are sensitive as they should be but difficult to utilize and/or change as one's needs throughout the day change.

For example, my light is affixed to my dual monitor stand. The control for the light is then somewhat behind the monitor and a stretch to reach the adjustment (I know, that is not the fault of the lamp). This would be fine if there were tactile feedback on the control or different controls that were easier to use throughout the day. It usually takes me a couple of tries to set the lamp the way I want it at that particular time of day.

Also, a simple On/Off button would be very useful. I find myself changing the settings when I simply want to adjust the timer On/OFf or simply turn it off. For example, it just took me four tries to reset the light after the timer shut it off (which I didn't want to do). Setting the timer, you have to touch the control 2 times for each increment of the timer. If you miss one, forget it, you haven't a clue where the timer is set. Often you touch the one off, brightness where the time and you get to start all over again.

DavesNotHereManDavesNotHereMan: The exact location of the controls. There's a slightly sneaky aspect by the seller here, if it was more clearly shown I might have hesitated. So I included a photo showing this. I was hoping controls would be more towards the business end of this light, as in the top or end closest to you. As many other lamps of it's ilk are...or are touch controlled over the entire surface. This location sort of limits it's use to being accessible to the base controls. Where as I wanted to have the base tucked over there in a back corner, with the light over hanging a dual monitor system. Which the extension length and height are perfect for, longest I could find actually in it's class. I suppose this won't and does not bother many people...given the 5 star reviews (me included) and lack of mention of this. These hopeful assumptions being my fault...so I can't detract here. It's a well built, great aesthetic, highly functional, almost infinitely adjustable, bright, good color options, sleek, industrial-stylish, metal lamp. Even well grounded, no cycle hum on audio signal paths (something important to me and what I do). Just my opinion here, does not make a ton of sense given the overall design,...

Mao Robles: Me gustó la calidad de los materiales, tengo una semana con ella y hasta ahora se desempeña bien. Toda la lámpara es de metal color gris grafito, la base es de color negro.

No tiene tanto alcance como parece en la foto, pero suficiente en mi opinión (leer mas abajo las medidas de mi escritorio)

El color de la luz que emite es ajustable y trae 2 tonalidades: Cálido, que va de un suave color crema hasta un intenso amarillo solar; y Fría, que va de un blanco muy tenue a un intenso blanco.

El brillo también es ajustable para ambos tonos.

Solo trae 2 botones de toque (no de presión) así que su uso no es complicado.

Me encantó que trajera una pre-configuración (o preset) para "lectura" (el cual es muy agradable para leer y usar la compu) y este se activa con un solo toque; de esta manera si está muy brillante o algo obscura le doy un toque y se aplica este preset inmediatamente, le doy otro toque y regresa a como estaba.

No he usado el timer, pero cuenta con esta función.

Ahora, mi escritorio mide 1.20 mts x 60 cms, la tengo del lado izq., la base es de tipo prensa y requiere un borde de escritorio libre de 5 cms de largo...

Hard To Impress: I really like this lamp, I have it attached to the headboard of my bed and plugged into a switched wall outlet. I just received it about an hour ago and tested its functionality because I had questions I didnt notice any answers to. The main concern was when I had settings for color spectrum and brightness set, then turned the lamp off at the switch, would it retain the settings when switched back on. The answer is yes, thankfully. Like I mentioned I've only had it an hour and the results of my test were limited to just a few minutes, but I have faith that the electronics are built to retain the settings over night or a couple of days when the wall switch is off.

The material it is constructed of seems quite study and holds its position nicely, however I did notice someone else's comment about the power plug is straight, had it been a 90 degree plug it would have been a bit less conspicuous, but not really noticeable in my application as much as if it were mounted on my drafting table or such. Now that I mentioned drafting table I will see how this holds up and possible buy another for my home office.

The buttons operate as indicated and won't take long to figure out...
