Joiish Air Conditioner Cover - 600D Waterproof Top & Full Mesh Detachable Design

Hallie Lightfoot: I was impressed by the quality of this product; from its packaging, its weight, and its ease of installation. It is not often these days that you get quality at this nominal price. If you need a cover for your AC, this is the one to get.

Peggy M.: Quality fabric. Does what we need [keeps cottonwood fluff out of the fins]. Our AC doors over our fins are VERY difficult to get on/off to clean AND they installed it in difficult to get at area so this cover is a game-changer! We usually have to spray hose [parallel not straight into] a few times in summer when cotton wood trees are putting out the fluffy cotton, so w/ this cover we just pulled it off & draped over a chair to hose off. Our AC unit has the power cord up higher so the Velcro doesn't close all the way, but we also secure at bottom w/ thin bricks. ☆ Took the whole mesh cover off for 1 week during 90⁰+ weather to make sure unit was getting maximum ventilation. Make sure not to have the top non-screen cover on unit if it's in operation.

SharonSharon: I really liked the weight and quality of the cover. There are also pull strings at the bottom to better secure it.
I would definitely recommend this product if you need protection from grass and debris that will clog your unit.

Birdman of Whitmore Park: Product seems to be made of quality durable material and was easy to install and fit well on the air conditioner. The disappointing thing about it was that it had a negative effect on the airflow for the air conditioner. I tested the velocity of the air being pushed out the top of air conditioner by the fan , and the flow was diminished by an average of 36 % when the mesh cover was on the unit vs when it was not. This will I believe cause extra stress on the fan motor and possibly shorten the life of the unit. Air velocity readings were taken with a Testo 410-1 vane anemometer which is a reliable device.

Bob S: The cottonwood fluff is in full bloom here in upstate NY. Installed this mesh cover with a minor modification. I was worried about air flow being impeded. Since my AC unit is under the cover of stairs, I'm not worried about leaves or other debri landing on top. The fan blows air upwards and there was really no need for the mesh covering the exhaust fan in my case so I took a sharp blade, followed the outermost grill covering the fan and cut a circle of mesh.

I did an unofficial airflow test before and after the modification and cutting the top of mesh and obviously had better airflow after the modification.

It is so much easier now in rinsing off the cottonwood fluff with the mesh covering all the intake fins. No more having to take the fan/motor grill off so I can access the inside to backflush water thru the fins and remove the fluff that wouldn't rinse off from the outside.

In the cold months I put the solid cover on top to block blowing snow and leaves from getting inside. My AC measurements were an exact fit and it fits perfectly - just like it was custom made.

Catherine Y: The mesh material this AC cover is made of is excellent. The tightly worn mesh keeps leaves and other debris out of the internal propeller and allows the hot air drawn from inside the house to be expelled quickly.
