Zeke Nelsey: After reading this as a beginner it was a perfect introduction to the world of Forex. There is much more for you to learn after this book like learning a strategy but still this teaches you all the basics in easy to understand terms. As advertised.

Amazon Customer: I liked the basic info, what I am having a hard time with is why he has not updated the book at all, or why some of his links are broken. I really like Jim's writing style and would like to hear more. Maybe because he has shared all can share and stay honest... I don't know. But if you are brand spanking new to forex its a good 90 min read.

murthi: When I was interested in learning about forex markets, I tried many books. Among other books I purchased this book too. But this book became my favorite because Mr. Jim explained about forex markets with his superb strategies. As he himself a trader, he is able to understand and explain things in practical ways. I became big fan of him and started following his videos regularly. I will surely recommend this book . Am very happy with his support always.

M: As a stock day trader I wanted to expand to other financial areas so I bought a few books on ForEx. This one, as the subtitle implies, explains how ForEx works. The author doesn't talk down to you like you are a child but as a trader. It's helpful to have traded stocks before as he does use that terminology but isn't really needed and he does explain what he is talking about. There are no systems or how-to guides to trade. he has 2 other books for that. Here, it's just what is ForEx and how does it work. The book is only 70 pages long with a nice big font size. I read this in less that 1 day. It'd be nice if he had gone into a little more detail about how the price is calculated for the bid-ask and such. A little more on the technical side on how the brokers come up with these. Overall a very good first book on ForEx trading.

Ashwini Choudhary: It gives a nice introduction about currency trading to the novice and uninitiated reader. However to start real trading, lot more in depth study, practice and training is required. It’s a good book to begin with.

Walter L Kroon: As someone who has spent years developing stock trading systems, I highly recommend Jim Brown's introduction to currency trading. From sad experience, I know that 80 to 90 percent of the books on trading systems are a waste of time. They present cherry-picked examples of great trades to dazzle the reader and build up a false sense of confidence in the system. When you try to use these types of books in real trading, you lose money fast without a clue of how to fix the situation.
This book is is not one of those dead ends. It explains how forex trading works in clear, simple terms. It teaches the basics that are part of any solid trading system...finding a trading style that fits you as a person, selecting the right instruments to trade, finding good entry and exit points, managing risk, position sizing, and above all, approaching every trade with the right psychology. Winning at the trading game is all about mastering these fundamentals; the author does a good job of introducing readers to those fundamentals and showing why they are important.
There is much more to this book than the information between the front and back cover. At the end of the book, Jim Brown...

oscaroscar: I am a man of 78 years of age and I have free time and some dollars that are not essential for me to live, I can lay them down trying to make a profit. I found that trading with forex gives both possibilities. As a neophyte enter a trader and invest in the first investment in ten pairs and earn in eight and leave two open. Those two open pairs have already eaten the profits and if I close them they will also eat my capital. Look for information on the internet and I found Jim Brown's books. To have them at the moment buy them in amazon kindle store. Unfortunately I bought the second, I say unfortunately not because the book is bad, no, the book is very good but my neurons did not have the habit of learning. With little hope send an email to Jim telling him that I did not understand his second book. Immediately he answered and offered to explain the parts I did not understand. Jim negotiates with the three big traders Asia, Europe and America which given the different time zones makes him work most of the day. I appreciated his offer of help and he recommended me to start my learning by reading the book FOREX TRADING , THE BASICS EXPLAINED IN SIMPLE TERMS. This book should be the...

Patrick S.: I never really truly finished a book about Forex ( or many books to be honest) . So this is an accomplishment for me lol. Seriously, I really found this book helpful, it really gave me confidence to continue on this path in being a Forex trader. I now have a broader understanding of things. For those that left a bad review saying that you can get this information anywhere for free.. they are correct. I have found other places to gather this information. What made this a good resource is that it is not a lot of extras. So I am pleased with this book, and I highly recommend it

Amazon Customer: This is by far the best Forex entry-level book. It's amazing how Jim explains all the mechanics and FX components needed to know. He talks on behalf of his experience and you can sense it while reading the book. I traded forex for over 6 months before purchasing the book (not making any substancial profit per month and in fact seeing myself constantly in red numbers) and I do have to say that you need at least to have opened an account with an FX broker and have taken a few trades on it to fully understand that what he is talking about does match the markets movements, conditions, trading functionality and so on. Nobody on mi circle of family and friends knows about this stuff, so I didnt have anybody to talk to about all the trouble that I was going trough, and you cant imagine how reliefed you will feel (in case you are in the same circumstances as me) when you finish Jim's book, as you will have learned a lot more and realized that you werent all wrong. As if all of the previous wasn't enough, Jim provides support on any inquiries o even if you just wanna talk forex! over Facebook, Youtube and his personal email. Many of the newbie's doubts and uncertanties that I had were...
