worldsokayestdude: I had a similar backpack when I was college that I loved, replaced, and then missed dearly when I started school again. This one feels a little more synthetic, like the fabric has a thicker, more plastic feel than the previous backpack, but it's still probably my favorite backpack of all time in terms of the pockets. Some of them feel a little odd, like the pocket on the inside of the flap, but it still gets good use, or at the every least doesn't get in the way when it doesn't seem like the best pocket to use.
The single greatest thing about this backpack is how big it is. I don't own a car, so all my shopping, work, and school trips are all by bus, bike, or on foot. I can fit up to 3 fairly large textbooks or a couple smaller boxes from Costco, or on days when I work I can fit my scrubs, lunch, and water bottle all with some extra space for anything else I might need.

Betty: Holds up well to the rough use of a high schooler. Top loading is perfect for those who might forget to zip the sides of a traditional pack. Lots of pockets and storage both internal and external.

Kellie: This backpack’s design makes it so annoying to travel with. To open it you have to unzip basically half the bag and all of your stuff falls out. It’s super annoying to open and close… you can’t just open it a little and grab something out of the bag. The inside pockets are non-functional… everything falls to the bottom and you end up having to dig around and pull out all of your things to find an item. That’s not convenient when at an airport or on a plane. Now I need to find a new carry on backpack. This one is not the one.
