Jai Kartar: I bought a Jade Yoga mat many years ago, but gave it to a friend when in the process of moving, and have used several different mats since then. In my opinion, nothing beats Jade Yoga mats in terms of durability and non-slip/grip factor. I can practice yoga poses on many types of surfaces, including carpet, and keep traction due to knowledge of how to practice, but why not have some more ease when it's available? The original mat that I gave to a friend is still in use over 10 years later, and when I had it, I was teaching 12 classes a week, plus my own practice. So if you want something durable and with good grip, I'd recommend this. It does take some getting used to the texture, and the rubber smell will dissipate with time.

Anwar: My first JadeYoga mat was 13 years old and in a very used condition so I had to get a new mat. I decided to go again with the JadeYoga and the mat that arrived is perfect as the first one that lasted me over a decade. I love also that they are sustainable, good for the environment, and come in various beautiful colors to choose from. My first one was red, they don't make that color anymore, so I went with olive green.

Max: Die Matte erweist täglich ihre Dienste und lässt sich absolut super handeln. Man Rutscht nicht und sie ist nicht zu schwer. Alles was man sich wünscht.

joan Smith: I've had mine for a year and a half with use 3-4 times a week. It shows very little wear. It is very grippy, even when I'm sweating. I bought the dark blue color which does show dust, cat hair and dry skin flakes. I would pick a lighter color if I needed another one. It cleans easy. Average thickness, I use a thicker one for yin. The rubber smell goes away in a week or so. You shouldn't leave it in our car during hot days. Best mat I've had.

Ange: Ok Let me tell you, i researched and trieds HUNDREDS of yoga mats (lifeforme, cork, lulu etc etc ) before setlling on this one. I am a yoga teacher and it was important that it was sustainable and very grippy , while also looking so classy.

Jade does all that and more! I look forward to practicing on it all the time and everyone is always asking where it is from. It looks natural in green , is the perfect thickness to protect your knees and offers the best grip even when my palms are sweaty. My down dog doesn't move a cm and is so comfy in savasana!

The smell fades and it stands the test of time beautifully. It is a natural material so i use both sides to give one side a break and make sure it doesn't get worn out in one spot only.

Note- There is some wear & fading after years of use (in the palms area mostly) but this is normal as it isn't plastic and i would rather a bit of wear than plasticy mats. I will replace it every 6 or so years if needed and Jade will recycle them for you. I only wish Jade would spondor me as they are pricey ;) but will gladly buy them haha!

Kristen B.: I took up practicing yoga three months ago. I excitedly purchased a new Under Armour mat for $70 at a local sporting goods store, thinking that it must be good if it's $70. (Sucker!) Within minutes of starting class I was inching toward "face planting dog" from down dog. Now, granted, I am a sweaty beast when I work out to begin with, but I couldn't figure out why this was happening. So next class I brought a towel. (Fail) Next I switched mats and used one of the famous Manduka mats that the studio provided. I was STILL slipping! I then asked my yoga teacher what he recommended and he said, "Mats are a relatively new concept to yoga. Yoga has been practiced for centuries without mats. If you're slipping, it's improper alignment and you're not reaching up with your hips and core"... This information actually made sense to me. But I have always been terribly inflexible. My workouts were always cardio and a little weights. The way that yoga builds strength in the muscles is a completely new concept to my body. Until I build up the proper core and other muscles, I needed a friggin mat that wasn't going to allow me to go anywhere else than where I placed my hands/feet. I won't make...
