Kelly K.: I’m honestly already obsessed with this mat; the color, design and grip are great!! When I moved and started at a new studio I realized my mat was a little slidey, so I tried one of their Yogi Bare mats and was wildly impressed by how the grip immediately made my practice feel more solid and I was able to deepen my poses. I tried to order from the Yogi Bare website directly but it looks like it’s closed in the US at the moment. I appreciate how their mission centers eco consciousness. Great purchase to improve my practice!!

JackieL: I practice yoga most days, but my cat had taken chunks out of my previous mat with her claws. So I decided it was time for a new one, and this rubber mat caught my eye. I'd also seen someone using one in a class, and she was happy with it. I bought the green one, and love the colour and the subtly attractive design printed on it. It is completely non-slip - so it feels very different to use from every mat I've used in the past. It's thin, but that doesn't seem to make any difference to the comfort. I was worried that the smell might be overpowering, but I barely notice it - having said that, my sense of smell is quite poor generally, so someone more sensitive to smell might have a different opinion. If you are thinking about buying this mat, the 'negative' points are that it is heavier than a regular mat, so that could be a factor if you're planning to take it to classes with you (I mostly practice at home, so the weight is not a problem); and it does seem to mark rather easily. I was relieved that the marks cleaned off fine, but check the care instructions for what to use before you chuck any old cleaning product on it. Overall I am very happy with this mat, it feels like a real...

Abraham Daniels: First off it just looks awesome. The print on is visually appealing without looking too ... new-agey. The weight of it when you carry it just tells you that you're going to have a good and supported session.
Now about the grip factor; if you're practicing in a non-heated environment, you can hold poses all day and won't ever have to worry about slipping and sliding. However, it appears to absorb moisture and if it gets soaked with sweat, it becomes slippery. So just keep that in mind.
Also, don't use a broom on it like I did! It will scratch it :(.

Tiger H. Lore: We have a lot of yoga mats in our household: a Liforme, a Manduka, and three Heathyoga mats.
Seems odd to have so many mats; but we do a lot of yoga.
Point is: I know what I’m talking about when it comes to mats.
This Yogi Bare mat easily competes with Liforme and Manduka. In fact, I prefer it over the other two brands.
It’s less expensive; it doesn’t biodegrade in three years (as far as I know) like a Liforme. And it’s just higher quality than a Manduka mat.
If you want a little more cushion in your practice, go with Heathyoga. If you want a serious mat that will help you go deeper into poses, Yogi Bare will take you there.

Tia Palmer: I wanted to give this mat a good month of daily use before leaving any sort of review. Been using it over a month now and I can say I am a yoga Bare convert for life.
I’ve owned some big name mats and to be honest, the yogi bare mat is even better at half the price. It’s light, the grip is amazing and the paw pattern is so stinking cute. It has lost a tiny bit of grip since I first bought it but that is to be expected. At some point we have to take responsibility in our practice and not solely rely on the mats grip.
I clean it once a week with lemon juice and luke warm water and It dries very quickly.
It doesn’t stretch like some other mat when I’m downdog or Warrior 2. It is seriously the best addition to any yoga practice.
I will not be buying any other mat, the price and quality are unbeatable.

Mr. T. M. Elner: So I spent a long long time comparing mats before opting to buy this one. I do yoga every morning and have used a number of different mats over my time practising which has allowed me to refine my preferences which are as follows:
Price - Its hard to part with large sums of money when so many mats are available for around ten pounds. A ten pound mat will get you started if you aren't committed yet. I was looking to spend between £30 and £50, I still cannot justify in my mind paying over £100 for a yoga mat. This mat appears to have all the premium features at a decent price.
Thickness - I've had thicker mats before and found them too cushioned. I'm not doing HIIT workouts on the mat and I don't suffer with knee pain or wrist pain, so I was looking for a thinner mat so I can feel the connection solidly with the ground. This is the perfect thickness for me without feeling too thin.
Non-slip - this is probably the NUMBER 1 concern. All my other mats have left my hands slipping in a good down dog. Every mat I read the reviews on had at least one person complaining about grip, so in the end I had to go with a mat that had a high number of positive reviews. So...

Looey KLooey K: Fabulous grip…no slip whatsoever …also cushioned without being too cushioned and wobbly for standing poses. I would definitely recommend this mat.
