Mugwhamp: I dyed some wool yarn yellow -- I was astounded at how well the wool took up the yellow, and at how well the yellow has survived several launderings. The color was intense -- almost neon yellow, but with much more depth of color than neon. Very bright! Dyeing wool was a gamble for me (having only used fiber reactive dyes on cotton), and it surpassed my expectations. The only beef, and I suppose I really should not complain about this: I had to rinse and rinse and rinse to get the water to run clear after the wool was dyed.

Lex: I bought this to dye a new swimsuit. When the suit arrived it was more of a coral red and not a true red. I went to Jaquard's site for detailed dying instructions and the fire red did just the trick! My cute new 2-piece is now perfectly red! The color came out evenly and true to color chip in my opinion. Admittedly I've only worn it to lay out in the sun so far, but it hasn't faded or left any coloring on my skin, and it has been washed several times. Also, it did not bleed onto any of my other clothes in the wash.

Nancy S.: I love Jacquard acid dyes. This is the primary yellow I use in all my wool dyeing; it is vibrant and offers good saturation. I mix all my dyes into water when I get them, that way I have dye solution ready to go. It's easier for me to store and measure liquid than these fine powders, since I don't own a $3000 scale that can accurately weigh them. Of the five colors I have in solution right now, yellow most noticeably precipitates when it's sitting. It's fine, if I slowly heat the jar it'll go back into solution easily and continue to deliver a great color.
