lupmo: I know you have seen "one man army" movies and read the books. The one dude takes down hordes after hordes of enemies in badass and often impractical ways. This book in particular is so much more fun because the plot is not simply a vessel for the killing. Both are present and if you came here from the Amazon show, please know that the book is *truly* better :)

Justin Hoover: I stumbled upon Jack Carr as I’ve been finding other authors similar to Dan Brown. Jack Carr does not disappoint with his novels! They’re incredible! Lots of action throughout this novel. Now the long part… reading his next six books haha!

Benjamin Smith: I could not put this book down. Finished it in about a day. It totally ruined the TV show for me. Highly recommend this book. Have recently book the remaining 5 books and cannot wait for them to arrive.

Colonel D: After viewing the Amazon Prime adaptation of this novel starring Chris Pratt as the protagonist, Navy SEAL LCDR James Reece, I was intrigued enough to order the book and give it a try. From what I can recall of the show, it seems to have followed the book pretty closely.
This story is focused on the primary plot; a unit of the US Navy SEAL’s unwittingly has been used as guinea pigs in a test of an experimental drug that would preemptively block the effects of PTSD. Facilitated by the greedy Secretary of Defense and her Senator husband along with the corrupt admiral in charge of the SEAL’s and a few morally bankrupt big pharma business types when it is discovered the drug causes fatal brain tumors drastic measures are called for. LCDR Reece and his team are sent on a mission where they are set up to be killed covering up the evidence of the botched drug trial. Reece survives however and returns home where he is blamed for the mission failure. While undergoing a medical exam for his increasingly debilitating headaches his home is invaded and his wife and young daughter are murdered. Reeling from his recent tragedies Reece soon enough figures out what’s going on and...

Danielle Ramponi: Reading this story quickly replaced all of my spare time. The further I got into the storyline the more drawn I became. This book took me 1 week to finish, True Believe 5 days and Savage Son 2 days…now I’m patiently waiting for The Devil’s Hand to get delivered.
While reading, I’d pause to search Google for the tech mentioned, which painted an even greater picture of the situation unfolding.
Thanks, Jack for gifting these stories to the world, and even though the Amazon series doesn’t do it justice, I do believe Chris Pratt embodies James Reece perfectly. Congrats to your success with this series.
