J. M. Craig: Not a bad story, but far to much recapping from book one. If people want to know what happened in book one let them read it.
Also far too much what I suppose is classed as ‘Human Interest’ l have absolutely no interest whatsoever in how his son is getting on at school, or at football, bedtime stories or the young daughters welfare, in fact I skip these paragraphs. Just feels like space filling, get on with plot. If it must be done a couple of sentences will do, not half a chapter at a time.

Loved this book that takes its readers in the middle of international espionage from country to country. Charles Jenkins enemies are as interesting as his allies. Loved it!

RARowland, Cincinnati reviewer: This is probably one of the easiest “5” star awards for a Book that I have given in some time.
I have been reading this writer since his first Tracy Crosswhite book came out, and thereafter, each in the series since.
Dugoni, like those of some other authors I follow, hits on all cylinders on what I look for in a good read: Plot, Character Development, Rising/Falling Action, Anti Climax, and Resolution.
Good Plot, for me, is one in which when I pick up a book, I don’t want to put it down until the end.
Saying that, I will, from time to time, purposely set a book aside for awhile, then return to the story line to see if I can pick up the story line from where I left off without having to re read paragraphs (or pages) to recall where I am. With Dugoni, I have total recall. His Plots stay with me from book to book.
That is evidence of great Plot.
Character Development determines whether the characters are memorable. I like the protagonists to be “good” and the ‘antagonists to be “bad” (as in the Mae West line, “when I’m “good”, I’m very good, and when I’m bad, I’m “better”).
