Teddy101: 　著者の一人、ジャック・キャンフィールドが出ている旧いYoutubeビデオ（英語）が興味深く、気に入ってます。これは、視聴者をTVセミナー番組に呼び、「人生に成功（夢を実現）する考え方」のお話しで、番組の途中、彼は聴衆に向かいポケットから50ドル紙幣を出し高く掲げ、「誰か、このお金を欲しい人は？」と問いかけます。聴衆は次々に手を上げます。その中でデビーと言う女性が立ち上がり、彼の元まで来て、ジャックの手からそのお金を奪うように取りました。他の聴衆は、ただ笑ってこの様子を見ていました。
　彼が言いたかったのは、チャンスがあった時はデビーの様に実際の行動にしないと（欲するものを）つかむ事が出来ない。ただ手を上げ待ってるだけでは、欲するものは手に入りませんよ。。。原書のタイトルが、10代に向けた”The Success Principles for Teens"となっています。書評に変わって、書き送ります。

GHF: (I'm 14 and writing this on my moms account)

This book was very helpful in getting organized in any area of life. It explains the 20 steps to success and how to follow them. It makes it clear that no matter what situation you may be in, you can follow these steps and be successful. It gives stories and personal experience from people of all ages and in all different situations, all with different goals, and they tell how the achieved those goals.I would recommend this to teenagers with goals of any size.

OLALEYE: I have listened to the full audio version of the The Success Principle which was written for adults.
I have also bought the printed version of The Success Principle which I am just about to start reading as I have just finished reading the teenager version.
I bought this copy (The success principles for teens) to donate to a school but i thought i should read it as well just to get an idea of what it contains.
I believe this book is good for teenagers because it teaches the success principles in the kind of language that teenagers can relate to. The book is full of good quotes, motivational phrases and success stories about teenagers and adults.
There are relevant cartoons at the right places to put the teenager reader at ease and make the reading enjoyable.
The book is more or less an abridge version of The Success Principles which was written for adults.

Together they make a perfect resource to motivate your child to improve their life skills and strive to do their best.
Highly recommended for tweens, teens, schooled and home educated families. Young adults would find the tips & real life stories invaluable too. Makes for great family discussion if you follow along with your child. (Warning - it may motivate you to strive higher too!)

Hannibaal: I have been reading this book with my daughters, and they really seem to like it. The only complaint I have heard is how the book seems to repeat so many of the things I have told them in the past and how it will make my head mush bigger. All kidding aside, the book offers some direct and honest advice that is easy for anyone to understand. Each chapter is divided into sections with pertinent headings/topic and ends with a to-do check list based on the discussed principle. As a father that wants to see his daughters succeed, i highly recommend buying, reading, and implementing the suggestions of this book.

gussy10: Super fast delivery and best self help book I have ever bought. ( And I have bought many!) It is very straightforward and my kids can easily identify with the examples given. Very practical and a great resource to set teens off on the right foot. We read it together a bit every night and discuss each chapter read. Time well invested!

C. Hovey: I read the Success Principles for adults every day. My daughter is very motivated, but sometimes hearing things from me falls on deaf ears (teenagers!). This book is well laid out, with stories and points (to be successful) that are geared for the teen reader. I asked my daughter to read at least two pages every day. I think she is still doing this, and I know that her life will be transformed if she follows the principles. This is a great investment, and I received this book quickly. I am very pleased with this book, and with this purchase.

Soapsuds: The authors of, "The Success Principles for Teens" could have titled their book, "The Success Principles for ALL."

I came across their book by accident and after reading several passages, I added it to my collection of books. The authors have done an excellent job in putting across the theme of, `...taking full responsibility for everything you do, think, and say. The book doesn't tell you how to live your life. It does provide the reader with instructions on how to achieve a better and happier YOU. According to the authors, "This book contains what [they] call the timeless `ingredients of success.' Just like there's a recipe for your favorite dish, there is a recipe for achievement too."

Their book consists of twenty chapters. At the end of every chapter the authors include a "My-to do-List." An example of the list after the first chapter is as follows:

1. The Kids on the Block "Realize that the person in charge of my life is ME. I am accountable for the quality of my life.

2.Search for the facts and look at things as they are, so I can improve them. Then create a new vision by seeing things as I'd like them to be.

3.Eliminate my excuses because...

Debra F. Mccoy: I know the book says for TEENS, but why wait????
My granddaughter's birthday is in July. Facing 10 and the next grade and struggling somewhat through the end of the last semester, I wanted her to have a view of the 'big picture' that she would be ready to take on the challenge of the critical years to come.

This book is about empowerment. Helping a child form their own opinions and allowing them to mature without encumbering them with mixed messages during a difficult time.
I have only been working with her a month, but she now understands WHY she WANTS a clean room. She has already developed some of her OWN goals and is even forming ideas about what she would like to be when she grows up.

Since the book is written by peers, it gives kids tools and examples in their own language.
She has come to understand that class projects are not something to be done casually, but with consideration and forethought.

Even MORE important is the sense of SELF she is discovering and, as an amazing side benefit, HAPPINESS.
Maybe they should have called this Stop the Mope, Learn to Cope.... I DID read the book WITH her to help her feel more empowered and teamed up...
