Tyler L. Morrison: I got this this book for my 13-yr old step daughter who loves to read as she is normally into fiction and I wanted something a little more real life for her. I read though it on kindle unlimited ahead of gifting her the physical copy and I think she is going to enjoy it.
This book perfectly captures the witty and sometimes inner cheekiness that most of us went though as awkward middle-schoolers trying to make the best of our budding social lives and imperfect family lives with a good bit of humor and emotion mixed throughout.

Tanya H: This book was an easy read that included a serious subject matter, but addressed it in a humorous and heartfelt way. The main character of the book is easy to relate to whether you are an adult who used to be a 12 year old (and still vividly remembers what that felt like) or whether you are a kid. My 11 year old daughter read it too, loved it, and thought it was very engaging and enjoyable. She noted that she also liked that it was written in the first person and that it made it even more relatable as she read along. As a mom, I very much appreciate that this book is very clean and that it captures the essence of being in that stage of life without encouraging angst, attitude, and disrespect. We look forward to finishing the next book!
