Scott P Aumann: I just moved into an apartment in NYC. I needed a window AC unit which also meant I needed support for that AC unit. I saw other cheaper versions where you screw it into the bottom part of the window. This would not work since I had a metal frame window that was mostly hollow. I also did not want to damage anything that I might have to pay for later. This bracket is super sturdy, easy to install, and does no damage to the window. I love that I did not need ANY tools to install this. Now my AC unit is completely supported and is safe against falling or wrecking the window. I can also easily remove this if I need to.

Chris: A/C in our RV was not keeping up with the Texas heat-wave. Bought an LG 8,000BTU window unit to assist the RVs Dometic A/C. Saw this window A/C mounting gadget, and remembered what a pain in the arse it was putting in the last window unit years ago.
Figured the price was right after reading about this mounting frame... Bought it, easy-peezy installation. Wife was impressed I didn't even cuss once while installing the bracket and A/C. No drilling, no weird sizes of wood to make it fit, just unfold, move the pin-tabs and PRESTO, a level shelf to stick an air-conditioner on.
Just buy a few feet of foam to fit around the unit and your good to go.
Where was this product 10 years ago??? I love it.

J: Bracket fit well in my vinyl window frame, creating a flat platform instead of one with a channel so you have to deal with securing the bottom of your AC unit somehow. I drilled a couple screws that the holes on the bottom of the AC fit onto securing it from sliding, which it will with this type of bracket. I did end up sinking a few Lag bolts into the window frame once installed by drilling through it it (easy(). There was too much flex in the window when I put weight on it to trust completely without doing this. So anyway, it feels solid and hopefully won't rust out like so many others have talked about. The legs barely reached the wall as our windows are so close to the edge, but bending the feet gave it the perfect angle and I tightened them up so they don't move. Looks pretty good from the outside and hoping to save a little money not cooling the whole house at night. Directions were fine, again easy. Tried other brackets, this was the only one that actually worked without having to alter the window frame in any way.

DrewDrew: I originally bought this for a very big and heavy ac that I will probably use next summer. I have it right now for a very small ac probably under 50lbs. It was simple to place in the window and keeps in place on the siding of the house. I like how theres no tools or screws required. Especially how I have it in a brand new window so I feel this protects the ac from damaging it. Its a little more than I wanted to spend but it seems durable. I'm rarely post a review but this definitely deserves it. And when I had small issue with the locking button popping out customer service responded fast by email.
