gabi mandowsky: Bought the fridge just under two years ago. Arrived on time. Looked good. Easy to set up. Was a bit noisy but kept the wine cool! The top section stopped keeping the wine cool and company confirmed it’s likely a malfunction of the cooling plate. They said it’s rare but can happen with this model (which they no longer sell). Because it’s more than a year old they won’t support the product, even though “this isn’t supposed to happen”. They offered me a slightly discounted price on a new ivation fridge but I don’t feel confident the same problem won’t happen. I can understand if this occurs after 5-6 years but in 1.5 years for the thing to just stop working-totally unacceptable and disappointing that the company isn’t interested to support their brand by making it right. Won’t be buying another ivation wine fridge.

Josh Middleton: Works as advertised. The unit has a little sound to it however we keep in entertainment room so never notice unless TV is off and your standing next to it. Do like how LED light automatically turns off after a few mins which is a nice feature. Was not expecting bottom rack to be in fact the bottles laying on the bottom of the cooler and not on a rack at all. Very good unit.

Client d'Amazon: C'est peut-être uniquement parce que je m'attendais a ne pratiquement rien entendre que j'ai été décu de réaliser qu'il fait quand meme assez de bruit. Également, il semble être toujours en train d'essayer de fournir pour la température donc le bruit est pratiquement sans arret. C'est pas un bruit majeur mais c'est un bruit constant de "fan". Je l'ai changer de pièce pour régler le problème. On voit que c'est pas de super super qualité(plastic) et l'espace du haut est très limité et deux grosse bouteille de champagne de rentre pas une au dessus de l'autre.
En gros c'est ok, la température ne bouge pas et simple a utiliser/changer.

J: I got the 18-bottle dual-zone for my wife as a birthday gift. The idea was that it would sit in our dining room and bottles would basically be at appropriate service temperature. (The Wirecutter buying guide that as of this writing recommends the single-zone model does not consider dual-zone, for reasons outlined in that guide.)

She is pretty happy with the appearance and user controls. She would have preferred that the zone capable of reaching service temperature for whites (the top one) were larger, as we tend to go through those more quickly than reds; this unit has room for just six in that zone, and twelve in the other. (As the Wirecutter guide notes, there isn't really harm in STORING reds and whites at the same temperature.) So we end up doing a bit of juggling exercise whenever there's more than six whites in the unit. That being said, most small dual-zone models I compared with also seemed to share this general configuration.

Christine Murphy: We did what it says to do and I think this is really important. Once you get this fridge let is sit for a minimum of 24 hours (we let it sit for 3 days) to ensure that all of the freon settles before you turn it on. I had my first bottle of red last night and it was perfect at 16deg C and my husband had a white bottle at 13deg C (He doesn't like his wine really cold) and both were perfect. So, so far so good but with the amount of bad reviews on this fridge I will certainly be keeping an eye on it.

J256J256: Pros: As described there is no compressor so the only sound is the twin fans which appear to be low db 12V ATX fans (fans for PC cases). Depending on how these fans do in the confined cabinet space I might forgo the warranty and install larger fans however it's very quiet as described and outside of the cabinet doesn't work as hard/long on cooling intervals.
Cons: Does not appear to be precision engineered. Doors were crooked/misaligned and the top door jiggles on its hinge (right out of the box). I reseated the top and centre door hinges to correct the alignment to best/possible however it's still not perfect.

polstar1983: I did an exhaustive search for a cooler, and most units had reviews that mention broken parts, bottles not fitting, unit being noisy and not holding temperature, and breaking days later. I think this unit is the best value for money, the only other choice would be the 18 bottle version of Ivation. Here is my summary of what I think about it:

Does it cool? Yes it does, but you have to wait more than 10 minutes, or more than 1 hour. I can tell you I did this test twice: Switch it on, put in room temperature wine (70F), and wake up the next morning and indeed it goes to 46 at the top and 55 at the bottom. So you have to give it a full night. My goal was to not have wine in the winter hot basement at 70F.

Temperature: The main thing you need to know is that the bottom compartment does not go down to 46F, but only 55F. It is the top part that goes down to 46F only. I had a meter in the bottom part and I saw 54 once, but whenever I check it is is actually 55-57. Top part is at 46F. My basement ambient is 68-72F. Cooling down takes one night, be patient.
