Clayton Tillman: I was skeptical this would be the right fit for my 6 inch portable ac unit vent. I'm venting into the ceiling of my garage. It was absolutely the perfect fit. The hose screwed right in and holds tight.

It is 3D printed, which other reviews seem to have a problem with, but honestly this thing is stronger than your normal run of the mill made in China junk. I dropped this thing from my ceiling height (9 feet), into concrete, didn't damage it at all!

Chris: This, combined with the plug (necessary if you don’t use it 12-mos a year) is a good design, but it’s challenging to connect it to the vent cap on the outside of the wall. I ended up cutting about a 8in in piece of the AC exhaust hose off, attached that to the wall port with duct tape, , shoved it through the wall cut then went outside, duct taped it to my 6inch diameter vent cap (which I found is not a commonly stocked size and had to order) and attached the exterior cap the the wall, then collapsed the hose into the wall and attached the inside port. It would be nice if they sold this as a complete kit with a exterior vent cap and a connecting hose for inside the wall. Also the price (over $50 for the wall portal and screw cap)seems pretty pricey for two pieces of plastic. I anticipate in the winter I’ll stuff a wad of fiberglass insulation batting into the wall port when I put the AC away for the season to minimize heat loss. Be sure your exterior wall vent cap has a damper that will minimize back drafts and screening to keep out the critters. This will not work with a standard dryer vent cap as those are usually 4inches.

Vanessa Rutherford: This thing is a lifesaver, albeit incredibly overpriced. But hey, if you need it you need it. I have a spare bedroom with no windows and no central heating/cooling. I knew I didn't want to drill through the wall/siding on my house in any way shape or form and also that I have a portable unit I wasn't using, so feeding an exhaust hose through the floor was the only option. This flange was exactly what I needed. The hose on my Koldfront portable unit measures 5 inches on the inside and it fit perfectly. I was screwing and screwing with no results until I figured out I had to pop off an outer ring on the hose. Yours may have one, it may not. This could be the reason some folks are saying it didn't fit. If you don't remove it, the flange will not screw on. Double check this and also that you aren't twisting the wrong way. Unless you have something exotic or new, most portable AC's have a standard hose size, but measure first just to be sure. Let me tell you, I know you may not be crazy about the idea of drilling into your floor or walls, but this is far sturdier and safer than having it in the window. The window install kits included with portable units are super flimsy and not at all...

Steven: I was on the fence with the purchase of the purchase of the Intulon portable flexible AC hose flush mount fitting for about a year. I studied the customer provided reviews and pictures to assess if this would work for my application. The initial reviews from 2019 were less favorable then that of recent which made it a gamble.
My idea / application was:
Install a LG Portable AC in a 2017 RV toy hauler garage with a dedicated circuit so that we could have a cool room when boondocking, running on a Honda 2000W inverter generator, with a 3 gallon marine extended use fuel container to run either all night or when leaving the dog in the kennel in the back room.
I had tried using the 3" dryer vent, that was in the location where we prefer the keep the unit, however the added reduction from 6" to 3" caused to much heat and back pressure, blowing the hose off the reduction fitting. We tried fabricating a fitting to vent out of the pre installed air vents in the garage located fore and aft, but it dictated an undesirable location where the AC unit would have to be placed when in use.

Adam Kalins: I complain a lot about bad plastic. This did not have bad plastic. I complain a lot about thoughtless design. Not here. This thing does what I expected. It could have been cheaply made, and that's a big problem for me, but this isn't. They actually spent the extra penny in plastic to provide a quality product. So many companies try to cheat me for a penny, and why? It's just a penny? This product did not cheat me. Sigh. Calm. Thank you for being one of the rare quality products out there.
