Amazon Customer: I don't mind this pool for my son it is the perfect size, but do yourself a favor and upgrade the pump/filter to a much larger one. We replaced it with a 1000 gph pump and it is way better, and I don't need to clean the filter so often.

lynn: The only reason I gave this a four out of five stars is the pump that comes with it is pretty much useless I had to get a bigger one, it works much better. But the pool it self, comes in very handy on these hot summer days big enough for the grandkids and big enough for the adults to cool off in.

shopaholicmeshopaholicme: I bought this pool crossing my fingers, many good and bad reviews said things were missing or that the pool had holes out of the box. This was my first pool of this type and I have several friends with similar pools working fine. My box was missing the dvd instruction and the waterproof glue in the repair kit. The material of the pool is flimsy for $100+ that I paid for the pool and you have to treat it very carefully. You can see the dents from being boxed and the bottom lining is even softer... I looked up on youtube and found instructions for building the pool and even for the water filter that comes with it. I built the pool mostly by myself, hubby just helped me stretch out the bottom of the pool flat..There are many metal pieces but they are easy to distinguish, the one with two holes goes across with the curvy t one and then the legs snap into place to stand the pool up.. once I filled up the pool I noticed a hole at the bottom and two tiny pin holes on one side. without the repair kit it was a bummer. I fixed it with a pool repair kit from k-mart. I barely lost water by holding the hole at the bottom with a vinyl repair patch and a weight until I got a repair kit. Youtube...

K: I bought this as a treat for me, and with two weeks logged in, I have to say that I'm very happy, but there were some fine points and learnings I'd like to share.
- Water likes level surfaces. None of my yard is level. I chose the dig and fill method, where I moved the high dirt to the low area after marking out an 11 x 11 square. I got it close to level, in the pouring rain on a really disappointing Fourth of July weekend. I still had about 3/4" to go, but called it good. 1200 gallons weighs just shy of 10,000 lbs, and that compacted my relocated dirt another 3/4", so I have a pool that is 1.5" out of level side to side. I'm good with it, but you wouldn't want any more than that. Site preparation is the real cost to this pool. You can't compromise much in that area. Consider sun, shade, leaves/ debris, mud, and closeness to a convenient power outlet before you pick your site.

- I don't use the cover, though I would like to. The cover solar heats the pool a shocking amount. Just cant risk turning the pool into bathwater. As such, I use it only for mowing/leaf blowing. If I did it again, I'd buy a better quality tarp and no cover. I did find a mini-pool net with a 4'...
