Juls: This book is wonderful. You have a girl who’s been abused by her mom all her life. Whose found by a high level monster at her lowest point. He takes her to his home where he has also 2 high level roommates and they protect her. They become very possessive and extremely protective. Is it enough to keep her safe from her mother? I highly suggest you read and find out. It’s a great book!!

K: I adore this standalone and a so excited to read more from the world!
Isla is so sweet and innocent, and bonds immediately with all of her guys (and their creatures!). I really loved that all the guys have unique personalities, powers, and relationships with Isla.
Some of the pacing is a little off – its very slow to start, then you have a sudden drop when Isla randomly decides to run away, even though her men have proven that she doesn’t need to and that they are capable of protecting her, and then it wraps up with a fast adult film montage (which I enjoyed, don’t get me wrong).
With that said, I’m looking forward to reading Arabella’s story in the course of 3 books which will be a finished series soon (JK realized it’s 4 and won’t be complete until 2023, heartbreak). I really want to sink into this world and the nightmares and see what pacing looks like when author isn’t feeling rushed in one book.
I didn’t find the childhood abuse triggering, its not detailed and the author doesn’t rehash it in a way that I found upsetting – I will say, I didn’t like a few references during spicy time where Isla says she’s being used like an inanimate toy...

Emma Hoggard: If the blurb didn’t draw you in then hopefully this will…
Isla has been abused by her mother her whole life, but days before her ‘18th’ birthday, she meets The Devourers; a triad of the most dangerous monsters/nightmares.
All three men have an instant connection to her, something about her completely draws them in. But they can never mate with her because while they are extremely powerful, Isla is not as powerful as them, and mating with a ‘weaker’ nightmare always results in their death.
———
Isla’s character growth was amazing to read about. She still has some of her old personality, but with time and love, she can finally embrace and find her true self.
With reverse harems, it’s almost always tough to pick a favourite guy, and this book is no different. I personally love all of them, but Dranos just hits different.
Dranos vibes dark, dangerous and deadly. However, at heart he is an utter softie. A sweetheart, really.
Wyr is the unofficial leader and is more or less the same as Dranos. Hard on the outside with everyone but his triad and Isla. But on the inside, he’s just a lil marshmallow.
Ralos is just as...

Kasey124: This book started off amazing. It had those really satisfying protective-male moments right from the start. Isla was kind of a weak main character for my taste (always whimpering, etc) but it was working out just fine. *spoilers below*
Around halfway the guys become mindlessly possessive. They flip out when she leaves the room and goes upstairs. They throw a man across the hall for approaching her. Which all sounds hot but it’s too caveman-like, trust me. Then Isla predictably runs away to “save them” and it’s like the author threw all reality out the window. Look, I know I’m reading about nightmare creatures but the plot is so stupid after she runs away. Literally, Isla blinks and finds herself in a shelter made just for her kind where she’s given a bath and a warm bed immediately. The guys find her in about half a page and then it’s sex sex sex sex for the rest of the book. There was a real opportunity to do something with the plot there. Make the bad guys interesting maybe. But nope, she’s plopped into a perfect sanctuary and awaits her mates amongst a cloud of pillows. Cue eye roll.

s: Stars given on level of engagement;
5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.
4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.
3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.
1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged. .

Dan_kneee: This was a one day read for me! I honestly didn’t even bother with reading the description, because the title already had me.
Isla thought she was going to be free soon. Free from the abuse and pain from the one person who should be her protector, her mother. Instead, she’s saved from one of the most feared group of nightmares. What she doesn’t expect is falling for these scary monsters who will follow her to the ends of the earth to protect her.
I throughly enjoyed the story line. With the title I expected mating to happen a lot sooner. I was pleasantly surprised though with how much I loved the intense burn of their relationship while it was forming. Isla and her three nightmare did start with an instant connected, which sometimes can lead directly into sex, but instead they developed a strong bond. the wait was totally worth it though (specially Wyre 😳).
I didn’t give it 5 stars because I wish the situation with her villains were just more. Isla men are strong and feared, and I wanted to see them in action protecting what is theirs.

Alyssa Jones: I woke up ridiculously early just to read this before the day got busy. I’m glad I did. I was not prepared for how much I’d love this story. I get such Maya vibes from Isla. I love her innocence and strength even while she’s afraid. I love the nursery and was glad to see an Arabella cameo. Moroo and her calming, caring personality has made her one of my favourite side characters. I was laughing when Dranos got jealous of his raven. Such a great book.

Fawn James: Once again M. Sinclair's Nightmares wormed into my mind, holding me captivate and wanting more. You won't be able to stop yourself from loving her Nightmares, and wishing love like that existed in reality. She is an absolutely amazing writer and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work. I recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy, and a little bit of erotica
