Barron D.: My pup loves using the snuffle mats to eat her treats! I give her this when it is a rainy day to keep her mentally stimulated. For a bigger dog (mine is ~50 lb), one mat is too small for them to enjoy it for longer than 1 minute.

I bought multiple of these and I make a bigger grid, which keeps my pup distracted for a few minutes.

For younger pups/high energy dogs, I would always supervise when using this. My pup used to try to bite off the tentacles after she was done searching for treats. So it is best to keep an eye on your pup as they do the puzzle to preserve the mat.

Angel E.: My dog absolutely loves this. It gives him entertainment with the benefit of food. Whenever I bring it out he can not contain his excitement. It also helps to slow down his eating because he tends to just inhale food out of his dish but when it is on this mat he has to slow down to get all the food. It is very easy to clean, just take the foam outer layer out of the mat and put it in the washing machine.

BrittG: The media could not be loaded.  Our dog got cancer recently and often doesn’t want to eat. If it’s in his bowl, he’ll ignore it. But if we pour it onto this mat, he’ll eat everything. I think any dog who enjoys burrowing or sniffing things out (so all dogs) would get entertainment from this. And any dog who isn’t interested in eating may eat with help from this.

Anna: This was good for my dogs!

It survived the washer and dryer well. It definitely slowed down their eating, and they preferred it over their bowls. It seemed like they enjoyed it. I caught them looking through it with food still in their bowls one day, so I think that means they think it’s entertaining.

My only issue is that the suction cups didn’t work at all. I even tried wetting them. This wasn’t an issue because they didn’t try to fling it, but I could see this being a bummer if you have a dog that may want to move it around.

I think it’s overall worth it. At the very least I think it was fun for my dogs, and that made me really happy.

Alec M.: Ordered this on suggestion from breeder that it would keep puppy engaged for periods of time. The surface appears better than others we've seen in pet stores. One problem is that the rounded edge on the mat has a cheap plastic zipper. Puppy was able to cause zipper to peel open to reveal something that neither of us would expect in any puppy toy or other product - a ring of styrofoam. Took puppy only minutes to have styrofoam strewn around entrance way. Our concern was puppy ingesting this. We have pet insurance but items like styrofoam don't break down and can result in surgery for blockages in digestive system.

Amazon Customer: Puppy loves it but keeps biting the zipper and trying to get to foam part (the side) out. He successfully did it and destroy the zipper + foaming side within a week
