Instant Vortex 4-in-1 Air Fryer 5.7 Quart - Cook Quickly & Easily with Instant Pot Technology

Rob from FL: I had a 6qt air fryer. Was nice and my 1st one. wasn't big enough for many things I wanted to. This Instant Pot Vortex Pro Air Fryer, 10qt is a great size but still has a smaller footprint than expected. Removed my toaster over and old Air fryer and picked up counter space. This is so quiet, I was checking it all the time because my old one was so loud, thought this one wasn't working. I can use 2 or 3 shelves, that's a ton of space and all the setting make cooking, reheating etc, a breeze. Retired and don't want to turn on the over for smaller meals, which means most of them now and replaced my toaster oven and air fryer so this was well worth it. Much, much more I could write but for the price, was just worth it and the cleaning is so easy. Damp cloth and light washing on the racks compared the the old one. Was just a deep hole to clean. Thanksgiving I used the oven but also this Air fryer for several sides.

I. P.: I only cook for myself. I use this almost every day. Cooks fast. Works well. No complaints. I'm not going to replace the filter ever. I don't need the filters. I'm glad I got this because it makes cooking faster and easier for me. I don't use my oven for anything. This is even better than my old toaster oven. Great quality.

Armando: Tried for first time last week after arrival and only thing I can say is wow! Gonna put a electricity consumption meter to see how much power it uses compared other kitchen appliances! From what it appears it is total savings all the way around!

JC: I made french fries from scratch. It was so easy. I cut up 1.5 lbs of potatoes, tossed them in 2 tbsp of olive oil, a few shakes of salt... 15ish minutes at 380 with a couple of tosses along the way and... Best fries I've ever made! And no oil to dispose of afterward, no smell of cooking oil throughout the house, and the basket and the insert cleaned up in seconds. Highly recommended!

Drphoto: Ok, I saw reviews that said this oven has a spot on air fry function, and yep it works great. Used to make frozen French fries and turned out great. But it does everything else well too. I've always had poor results trying to bake refrigerated biscuits in my old toaster oven, but this nailed it. Perfectly golden brown with interior not gummy. The controls are easy to use. I just wish it were larger. Would happily pay more for larger oven cavity. Can only fit a 9x11 baking pan. But overall, this is a terrific product. And reasonable price too.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I was going to return this because of a lot of cons i read on the reviews plus I don’t have a lot of counter or storage space but I’m sick of feeding my son and bf fried foods cooked in oil especially my son, who loves fried foods.

My take on the cons I read

1. Plastic smell- when I opened the air fryer for the first time, there’s a wiff of plastic smell. Per the cleaning instructions, I wiped the inside with damp towel and dried it. I did this several times until I can no longer smell plastic when I stick my nose in it. I also washed the 2 trays and grease tray with warm water and diswashing soap and dried it with clean towel. I ran an empty cycle using Airfryer for 20min and almost immediately, there’s a strong plastic smell filling my kitchen. I did 2 empty cycles for 20min each and I’ve been smelling the vent behind it for plastic smell. During the 2nd cycle, the plastic smell wasn’t as strong as the first cycle. I used it to cook food for the first time after few hours and the food did not smell or taste plastic.

Bottomline for the plastic smell, I think cleaning the inside with damp towel and washing the trays really helped...

quilter4: There are mostly pros of this product so if you can live with the cons you are all set. The three difficult issues: trays slide out too easily with hot food and could cause injury and burns. The buttons are very hard to press for some settings which is poor quality control. The door is very hard to remove, although stated otherwise and that too may be poor quality control. The pros: easy to clean, easy to use, temperature is even and heats up quickly and it does not heat up the kitchen during hot summer months, along with two trays and a drip pan that allows more than one set of food to be cooked at a time, on 3 levels. Unit is compact and fits on a countertop without taking up too much space.

THE GOOD:
REHEATING - This thing is awesome! I now can use the air fry to reheat things I never would have reheated before. Reheated french fries are sometimes even better! Crispy outside, fluffy inside.

ROTISSERIE - I did a Cornish hen and it came out wonderful. You can do a very small chicken but any larger will not fit. It cooked faster than I thought it would. About 2/3 the time it would have spent in the oven. And the perfectly browned and crispy skin all over was as tasty as it looked.

AIR FRY - Great for things that were previously fried like frozen fries, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks... But I'm not giving up the deep fryer for making tbese things from scratch.

BAKE - Pretty good. Because of it's size you're not making anything too large in here but you can use both racks at the same time. Be careful with anthing that rises though, the heating element is on the top and you want to make sure to keep your items a safe distance. Also be careful with time and temperature. This does cook faster. Again plan on 2/3 the time and add more if needed.
