Libby: We love our cute red air fryer. Not having one before, I didn't think we really needed it and it would just take up space on our small kitchen counter. To my surprise, the size is perfect for two people and we use it almost every night. Air-fried sweet potato fries (my favorite) have never tasted so good!

L. Demartin: The Dash Compact is perfect for a single person. Low profile on a counter top, sufficient room for a burger, quiche, onion rings, bacon, chicken. So easy, so quick, and dishwasher safe. So little oil is used that it is good on the budget and the oil splatter. Wish I had bought it earlier!

Sweetpuppy: I LOVE this appliance. It's a perfect size for 1 or 2 people and does a wonderful job with chicken and all different meats; keeps them juicy and flavorful. It's non-stick so super easy to clean. Also, it's compact so doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter. I'd highly recommend it.

You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)You Know My Name (Look Up The Number): It’s perfect for making single serving meals and appetizers for two. It cooks evenly and I have just taken frozen fries, frozen tater tots, frozen buffalo chicken wyngz, and frozen mozzarella sticks, so far into the fryer. Straight from packaging to cooking and it’s easy. I usually cut the full cooking time in half and when it dings, I turn the items over. With fries, I shake them and “stir them” with tongs about 3 times during the cooking process. Everything turned out great. My guest was impressed with the mozzarella sticks in particular because they were perfect and without the grease.

Cleanup is easy!
It’s non-stick, if you didn’t read the description, and you just need to shake out crumbs before wiping with a soft sponge with soap and water. They recommend wiping the heating element off if grease or food gets stuck to it. The fan sits above the food, and the fan pushes the heat down to the food. So it’s not going to get dirty often unless someone overloads the basket. I keep it to one layer of chicken or mozzarella sticks, but fries take up more room.

HS74: Wish it had a BRIGHT white dot on timing dial to show customer where the setting is. It's just a teeny black indentation on black dial. So hard to see.
Also, wish the temperature dial had just a few more temps indicated for accuracy.

Otherwise, loving it. So convenient. Didn't want a large air fryer, this works for 2-3 servings perfectly.

Frequent Amazon customer: I did the research and I like the quiet hum of this air fryer. I returned 2 air fryers to Walmart before this one and both were very loud. I also prefer the fact that this is not digital and I can easily see and control the 2 knobs (one for temperature and one for time). The only downside is the fact that you really can't stop the timer even if your food is ready. you need to just let the timer shut itself. I wish I had bought a larger capacity Dash only because I find myself air frying so much instead of using the oven.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I call this the crispy microwave because that's pretty much what it is.

Cons:
This model is DEFINITELY just for one person. You can literally fit one chicken leg in there (see photos). The recipe guide says to cook in batches, but if one chicken leg takes 25 min to cook, stopping in the middle to flip it trying to feed even 2 people now takes you longer than just using the oven.
Don't expect this to be a "set it and forget it" type of situation. This thing requires a lot of babysitting. You will be stopping and starting a lot to flip, stir and shake what's in there or deal with uneven cooking. Kind of like a microwave.
I don't really find it that much quicker than using the oven for most things if I'm being honest. All the time you need to take fiddling with the food in there ends up just bringing you a few minutes shy of the oven time anyway.
"Frying" with little to no oil isn't really a thing. Your food is baked crispy, not fried. It won't take on the flavor or texture of fried foods. Reheating properly fried leftovers in here though is awesome. You'll never throw out soggy takeout fries again.
