Paul Hettinger: goodbye crockpot, goodbye old-fashioned pressure cooker, goodbye long long simmers on the stovetop. This is a very very useful helper in the kitchen. Faster, easier, better... GET ONE.

Paul: Well I do love this instapot, it is my first one so I don't have any others to compare it to. My complaint is that when I reheat thicker soup, and put it on soup mode, it seems to go on too hot and starts to burn the bottom, bringing a burn signal and then shutting itself off.

Sebastian: This is the first time I have had one of these multipurpose cookers. From my experience, it's not as versatile as it looks, in part because I don't use all the functions. Some of the elements of the lid can be broken easily, so be careful. Also, you will want to place this cooker far from your walls when letting the steam out.

K. Premajyothi: I am ardent user of manual pressure cooker from the last 15 years and was very hesitant to buy instant pot after reading mixed reviews especially regarding safety. I initially bought it as a spare cooker. Once i started using it, i was blown away by how much i could do with this multi cooker.

As other users mentioned regarding safety, i absolutely didn't find any issues. The instruction booklet is very clear and there are do's and dont's as with any electrical appliance. Obviously it should not be on or near a cooking range (other heat source). I followed all the safety instructions given in the booklet and its a breeze from there on.

There are many youtube videos explaining how to install it correctly, several recipes etc. I have using this several times in a day and totally stopped using my pressure cooker now.

Worth every penny and i wished i bought it earlier to save time and cleaning. I am now thinking to buy the airfryer lid as well.

Casper & Boo: i’ve only had this since the 7th of april and by the 10th i had already ordered a purple 6qt instant pot viva from their site that was on clearance.. Love these, makes me sad that i put off getting one for so long, guess the pressure cooker horror stories worked on me all these years.. works great and these really are safe, just don’t stick your hands when release the steam.. do love that this version seals automatically for you for i would forget..

day one made cold start yogurt (cold bottle of fairlife whole milk with a packet and a half of a yogurt starter (2 tbsp of yogurt with next batches) and you can add pint of heavy cream too but, i didn’t this time. i used the yogurt setting and 8.5 hrs later yogurt was done already. this made super thick yogurt after straining it, too thick actually!

day two, i made a rack of baby back ribs (seasoned with a dry rub) fit in it on the trivet by cutting rack in two, added water and some liquid animos and poof 45 mins later (includes a couple minutes in oven to crisp up the sauce) we were enjoying awesome ribs, hub says best i’ve made actually,

day three, made 9 eggs..DON”T listen to the 5/5/5 egg cooking...

Comdet: I've had a 6 quart Cuisinart pressure cooker for many years and it continues to work just fine. However, the capacity was not always what I needed, so I picked up this 8 qt Instant Pot. I'm very impressed with the ease of use -- much easier than the Cuisinart. Everything fits together better, especially the pressure valve/release. The larger screen and more comprehensive menu is also a big improvement. The only area where it lags the Cuisinart a bit is putting in and taking off the gasket. It's a more time consuming operation on the Instant Pot.

I was surprised that cleanup was just as easy with the Instant Pot as the Cuisinart even though this lacks a non-stick cooking pan. The stainless steel pan is heavy, durable, and cleans up easily. I'm glad I didn't order the non-stick accessory pan for this -- it's really not needed for how I use this.

I'm only using this via the pressure cooker (manual mode) option so I can't speak to how well the pre-programmed settings work. The performance as a pressure cooker is great -- every bit as good as the Cuisinart, and a bit faster to come up to temp even though it's a larger capacity. Hopefully the reliability will be as good as...

Stevi D.: In my childhood my mother had a pressure cooker that she used on the range. I remember she made many meals from it that were very tasty and not very expensive. So I knew the value of a pressure cooker. Even knowing that I was a late comer to the Instant Pot party For a long time I resisted the urge to buy one worried that I would replace my slow cooker and steamer with a fancy gadget that would gather dust. So far it hasn't made it back into the cupboard where it belongs. In two weeks I have made chicken stock which was then used to make chicken vegetable soup, buttered cabbage, 2 pots of spaghetti with meat sauce (one with ground beef, the other using Italian sausages) and beef pot roast. Essentially every meal has come from it (with lots of leftovers as i live alone and can make most meals last 4 or 5 days depending on how hungry I am). I'm impressed with it. Honestly the app hasn't supplied any gems but a Google search using instant pot and the ingredients has found me anything I need. It has made it easy to do what my mother used to do which as make magical meals in no time with inexpensive ingredients. I wish I bought it sooner - although Amazon Prime Day saved me a bundle.

Susan D.: I hesitated to get an instant pot because I read it was great for meat, and as a mostly vegetarian I just didn't think I would benefit from it that much. But I started seeing lots of meatless instant pot recipes online and finally decided to take the plunge. I just got mine last week and have made two recipes so far, and both were so quick and easy I am completely sold. I have ordered a couple of cookbooks and have started looking for Thanksgiving recipes, because this is the best thing ever.

First, I spent a long time deciding on which pot to buy. I had almost decided on the basic Duo, because I don't think I'll ever sou-vide, and I don't bake often so don't care about the baking option. But I realized that if it was an option I would definitely forget to seal the lid! The Nova is basically the Duo but with an automatic sealing lid - totally worth it. Also an easier to read display, apparently, which I'm 100% in favor of since I'm old. I also went back and forth on 6 quart versus 3 quart. We're mostly 2 people, sometimes 3, so I easily could have gotten away with a 3, but decided on a 6 for three reasons: 1) most recipes are written for a 6 quart, 2) I LOVE leftovers, and...
