qiu: This product is very good. It is very easy use because the manual included helps you figure out how to use it. Using it to cook is amazing, you can cook basically cook anything you desire. After using it, cleaning it is a breeze just take it apart and clean. Overall this product is good for people who want a good instant pot, and I would recommend.

Treazured: The price was right - $59.99, my Prime made it ship free and the InstantPot arrived almost instantly. I'll admit it, when these things came out I thought it was yet another piece of kitchen electronics that would sit in the cabinet gathering dust bunnies.

I was so wrong. So far I have used it every night for dinner and almost every morning for oatmeal or grits. The first night I realized that I didn't have anything defrosted for dinner and the family would be getting home from work dying of starvation. A quick look online and I found that I could cook from frozen and I threw in a couple pounds of chicken breasts, thighs and legs along with a couple of large sliced onions and a jar of barbecue sauce and set the timer and ran away. (OK, way back about 50 years ago Mother had a pressure cooker blow up in her kitchen and since then I've been leery of the things.)

I let the cooker do it's thing and when it had finished I made up the rest of dinner. Since I let it do its own thing, the pressure released after it cooked and all I had to do was put food on the table and keep my hands out of the way of the ravening hoard.

Maria S.: I only did the water test. Got a strong chemical odor after the test, did a 2nd water test, same chemical odor. some blue
paint came off and I notice m;y fingers painted with some blue tone. I did sent the pot back for a refund.
Maybe it was only this pot or only this model, I don't know. I'm searching for a traditional pressure cooker now.

KeyLime: I bought a cheap pot and the non stick liner started to peel after 4 uses. No response from the manufacturer. So since this has a ton of good reviews and a stainless steel liner, I thought I'd try it. It feels sturdier and better made than the Bistro Elite that was in self destruct mode. Buttons are easy to read, it comes with instructions and a recipe book. Works great. My only complain is that the raised letters/symbols are hard to see, for the vent that indicates where it's closed and where it's venting; and the closed indicator for the lid as to where to line up the opening point and the latched closing point. I went over mine with a silver marker which looks kind of sloppy but at least I can see it. I think this thing is great, I haven't made a ton of stuff yet but I bought a cookbook with recipes for two and will enjoy trying different things. People do need to realize that the cooktime doesn't include the time to come up to pressure and come back down, but I go do something else or read a book since there's no need to watch it. Jenifer Kleine: So after my third Crockpot crock cracking, I decided to try one of these after hearing the raves from my co-workers. I really love this thing. It is so versatile. I love the saute'e feature. It makes it really easy to brown meat prior to slow cooking all in 1 pot. Or if you forgot to thaw your meat for dinner like I always do, you can throw it in frozen and presto it's done in like 30 minutes. I am having a lot of fun trying out new things. I even bought an additional ceramic pot & the 22 pc accessory kit from Sugaroom basically has everything I need for anything I want to cook in it. The only thing I noticed so far is that the slow cooker function is really SLOW, I had to change the setting to pressure cook for 5 minutes after slow cooking for 5 hours then it was perfect. Now I'm not really sure if my Crockpot was actually dysfunctional, but it seemed to cook really hot. Even the keep warm setting my stuff stayed pretty much at boiling point. So if you do use it, make sure you actually want to cook something for 8+ hours.

Amazon Customer: I had another electric pressure cooker that I constantly fought with to get the lid on correctly. It would not lock unless the lid was on right, which is a good thing. But geez, it was almost impossible. It finally died and I ordered this instant pot. I was disappointed in the red color. If I didn't want to use it that day, I would have sent it back. It has too much orange in the red--almost garish. But I did use it and I am glad I kept it.

So the instruction manual is pretty useless but the Customer Service folks are awesome! Once I understood how to set the time, I was good to go. And best of all, the lid is so easy to get on properly and it locks right in place. As a somewhat experienced (if not frustrated) pressure cooker cook, I found this one really easy to learn.

Update 2.11.19-My only frustration is the stainless steel inner pot is not so stainless. In fact it's a pain to clean! I am considering buying the non-stick version but it has mixed reviews and I am not even sure if it will fit after reading some of the reviews.
