Shelbie Johannson: We purchased this as a gift for a friends baby shower! But ended up reading the book before gifting it. Such a great book for littles!

Gaia O.: My baby is super concerned looking at all the sleeping or dead people… Why do they all have their eyes closed?? Also, Violeta Parra played songs she wrote, not traditional Chilean songs.

Maria: If anyone has owned any Vashti Harrison books in the past, this is one to definitely keep in your collection. We gifted this to our niece for her birthday, and she absolutely loves the drawings. She is too. We have read books from Harrison in our family for many years. We absolutely love owning them, and my children return to them very often. This book in particular is very inspirational very short and simple for children four and below. It is not a long or lengthy book. If you read it to older children, this can encourage them to ask about the historical people mentioned, and can open up a lot of conversation and dialogue and research.

Cristina: Muy bonito, le doy cuatro estrellas sólo porque como que de los bordes estaba un poquito dañado pero muy bonito el libro. Era lo que esperaba.

Daina L.: Super adorable book which has been my dauthers favorite since she was 6 month old or even younger. Nice thick pages, durable and content wise - such great book!

Marina Flamigni: Un piccolo capolavoro: disegni stupendi, storie vere importanti da conoscere. Un regalo meraviglioso per una piccola donna appena arrivata… e anche per i suoi fratelli, che imparano a considerare il valore delle donne.

Maria Mangold: MAN I wanted to love this. It is a cute little book filled with some badass women! HOWEVER, there's really no kind of story, no rhyming or anything, and a lot of the women's accomplishments are really hard to understand for little kids. Rather than a story, it's more like a list of awesome women with a 1 sentence synopsis of what she did, and a little *you can be like her!* every few pages. So not super engaging. The *You can be like her!* situation doesn't mean much when you can't really grasp what it is she did or relate to her in any way.
I wish there was THIS BOOK in some kind of set or collections book that gives a little more kid-friendly descriptions and an actual storyline about one woman at a time. Not a good fit for our four year old. She lost interest pretty much right away. Might be better for slightly older kids.

Samantha LSamantha L: This is a perfect addition to any home library.
Very simple introduction to women who have changed the world.
I love the other books in the series, but they are rather wordy for my attention span lacking toddler.
This is quick and easy and opens doors for more questions.
I highly recommend.
