Northwoods Fan: After my last bathroom scale quit working after about 25 years, I researched and searched several months for a scale that was accurate and which would provide consistent ratings if I weighed myself 2-3 times in the exact same location. This Innotech scale - and its "brother" with more gadgets - are the answer. I know it's accurate because I weighed myself on the old scale just before I threw it out, and the answers were very close - within 4 ounces - close enough for me to be considered accurate. As inferred above, this scale is also consistent. Every morning, I weigh myself on this scale, to keep myself in line (read - don't eat too many snacks), and I weigh twice. On both of those weighings, Innotech provides the same number. My only regret about this scale is that the company does not make a lighter travel scale. I'm thinking that, if I cannot find a reliable, consistent travel scale soon (I've been searching, off and on, for almost a year), I'll just "bite the bullet" and pack this one in my carry-on. The extra weight of the scale itself is worth it.

DeeDee: I had an old black weight scale, which still worked fine, but wanted a scale that fit in with the mostly white and blue color scheme in my bathroom. After literally weeks of researching scales and their ratings, I finally decided on this scale which came the closest in looks, quality and price for what I was looking for. It's not a true white, and was going to return it ASAP for that reason but ultimately decided not everything has to be 'matchey-matchey' so I kept it. I'm glad I did. It feels solid and sturdy enough (although will confess it felt 'weird' stepping onto a glass platform, albeit it's tempered glass). As to it's accurateness, I believe the reading is about right, according to where I was in the process of attempting to lose 10 lbs. I don't regret the purchase, but I will say that I felt somewhat misled in the description that it's 'ready to go', because I first had to install 3 triple A batteries to 'activate' it - that was easy enough since we already had them on hand, but probably would've been a little put out if that hadn't been the case.
