kenfroekenfroe: I bought this to measure backpacking gear. Works fine. I tried putting a 2.5 lb. weight on it and it recorded it as 2.41 lb. Could be the weight itself is less than 2.5. Anyway, the scale could be .09 ounce off too. For my purposes, close enough.

Omar Garcia: I got this to weigh my 2 guinea pigs. Both are not the smallest nor I'd say the largest, just average in size and this just holds them so well. All the functions and conversion is also a plus so that I can weigh things in grams or lbs. I haven't had any issue with the wrong weights or it not zeroing out. And it's a plus that it comes with batteries.
In conclusion, for small pets it's great anything about the size of your hand is good. Anything 2 hand sizes ehhh maybe if they can stand very still.

abhunter: Well I just got the scale up and running today. Wow so easy to read and using it was so simple. I did read the instructions as they said. Of course I read like most males and once on I checked to make sure it was on zero. Once confirmed I began to weigh everything I could get my hands on. Outstanding unit and so easy. I would recommend it for sure.
