Kindle Customer kg: Fit my need to run downspout water beyond house, only dislike was the wire tie was not strong enough to hold in heavy downpour. Switched out with a dryer vent ring that I could tighten around downspout and now works great. Be advised, this product does NOT roll back up on its own.

When it rains it fills up and rolls out to distribute the rain water away from the house. However it does not rollback up.

E. Money: this gets the water to drain away from the foundation, the last two feet have holes to get the water to spread out slowly and not create a rut, if its too long cut it!!!!! for 5 bucks you can't beat it, my down stairs was flooding because the down spout is right next to the foundation, this downspout extender is an easy solution, the idiots who wrote bad reviews did not read the information or look at the pictures the seller provides, this is a quality product that works very well, the only better solution would be to dig a trench out to the street and use 3'' drain pipe, I tried the spout extenders that roll up automatically and they dont work

Nicole: The description says this item rolls up after use, sounds like it is automatic, but it MEANS that it needs to be rolled up after the rain has stopped- manually. Otherwise it works as stated.

ThunderThunder: The only positive for this product is that it is cheap. ~$7.
Can’t say much else. Says to use the supplied zip tie. Picture shows one. Came with a super cheap tie wrap. I used my own zip tie.
Looked good when installed. Unrolling once and never rolled back up. I tried in both directions. Wouldn’t self roll. Tried manually rolling up. Stayed rolled up until it rained and then never rolled up.
As you can see in the picture, it’s light so any wind will catch it and fling it to the side. So then, it isn’t even diverting water to where you want it. Now I have a rock sitting on the end to hold it which defeats the purpose of having this product to keep the area clear.
Unless I have a defective product, which I doubt cause not much can go wrong here. I’m sure these work but a working product is probably more than double this price.

Lexi: The photo on the package shows a black piece at the end that I imagined would weight it down or roll it up. It does not come with one and the product does neither. As the other reviews state, the tube rolls out and doesn't roll back after the rain is done. One out of the three has split down the seam already. Also, the twist ties that come with for installation are cheap and flimsy.
