Inthedoghouse: I use this book in my Italian class. It’s great for beginners to practice their speaking and pronunciation. The biggest disappointment though is the lack of audio by native speakers. This is a book about talking, come on Lingo Mastery put the book on Audible. 5 stars if there had been audio!!!!

Europe: Dialogues are quit advanced in grammar and vocabulary ( I am currently in Italian 2 in college). I wish Italian and English versions were displayed side-by side so that you could look up the English translation more easily

Rosalie Peck: Dialogues are structured to help you learn. Key phrases are repeated and build on each other. For example, a phrase in one dialogue is repeated in the next but in the formal form rather than the familiar. Sometimes basic phrases are repeated with a different word or two to expand vocabulary. Dialogs are useful in everyday life. They are pleasant and interesting to read and bring you inside Italian culture.

William J Sullivan: I have been taking Italian lessons for the past seven months, with a private tutor (insegnante). While we have concentrated on grammar for the most part, we started with pronunciation, and we have both felt that I need to speak and hear the language more in order to "get it".

This has been the one deficiency, not actually speaking Italian a whole lot. I saw this book, and thought, perfect, I can read the dialogs out loud and look up words I'm not sure of the pronunciation. After it arrived I took it to class one day, and la mia insegnanate absolutely loved it. We role play, and she takes one character and I do the other (and switch) and not only do I speak a lot more, and a lot more correctly,, but the thing she really loved was being able to show me all the things we've been learning, the pronouns (especially, as these can be difficult), the expressions, etc., in action.

The dialogs are not that complicated, I know a lot of words already, and she liked that. She also teaches me what things mean really, in Italy (she is from Padova, near Venezia). The book has added a whole new dimension to our classes. We spend time every class doing a new dialog, sometimes if there...
